Misses heaps of resources and doesnt build a box till the end when the game is obviously focused around resource gathering and then complains about space and resources. Plus his spacing of work benches was horrible. Half the reason i want to play this game now is to play it at least half right. This video was painful for the amount of stuff he missed.

Well, TIL if I'm ever using german language during a call of Cthulhu campaign to be sure I'm using informal terms for maximum effect.

@@Chloe_557 If you want to, it can be a subtle way to signal bonds between characters. Using an informal address signals intimate knowledge of one another, or favorable consent, as a sign of friendship. So bystanders will have an easy time to figure out the nature of relations between people without needing to ask them directly. But going informal without having asked permission, is usually considered rude, and pushing boundaries. Doing it all of a sudden anyways, can also signal the willingness to come closer on an emotional level, but it's virtually unheard of out of romantic context. The only exception I can think of is fans when directly interacting with their Stars. In context for a CoC campaign, that means you can have characters, f.e. a mayor and a bibliothecary interacting with each other formally while in public spaces or in front of the investigators, but a subtle hint that they are part of the same cult would be that they address each other informally in letters or in conversations that only got overheard randomly. If they both switch back to formal as soon as these characters feel observed, it's a clear hint that their relation is secretive, since good friends would stay informal with each other, even in the front of strangers or colleges. Cultists will always adress their eldritch masters informally, and since they share intimate knowledge about one another, it is highly likely that they will adress their fellow cultists informally too, regardless if they are friends or not. Also it can be especially creepy to have said bibliothecary switch from formal to informal with player characters, as soon as he's confronted, since that would signal a clear wish of him to get intimate with the investigators, probably by the means of knives or other torture devices. Have him ramble to himself while he stalks an investigator through a dark storage room, calling out to them informally with veiled or open threats for maximum effect. Something along the lines of "Wenn ich dich finde, schlitz ich dich auf!" or "Keine Angst, ich werde dir nichts tun >:)"

Not to mention 'I need to get back on my boat, but I'm kinda slow' Never once pressed 'F', despite the prompt being there the whole time.

I feel like they would say more like “Herzlich willkommen”

@@freewithnature "Wir heißen dich willkommen" is more solemnly. But also less common.

It's 'We bid you welcome' - We have the same greeting in Danish, though it's an old and polite greeting.

Same in dutch "we heten u welkom"

Honestly, from the whole look and feel of the station and the sign, I think "we bid *thee* welcome" may be the most accurate translation.

I can only imagine it's because, in classic Splatty fashion he wasn't necessarily playing it 'correctly'. The game pointed out that he should be moving faster in the beginning, but he just ignored that for the rest of the game and crawled along at the slowest speed possible.

Or perhaps playing an hour or three and then cutting the pertinent stuff together. Particularly with a survival game: I really don’t care to watch the tutorial I’m gonna get forced into anyway, nor am I interested in the obligatory manual gathering of rocks and sticks at the beginning of all these games.
