These videos are great. I like that each topic is given its own short, easily digestible video, and that subtitles are used instead of voiceovers, making it easy to hear the examples. Great stuff!
Would prefer voice over, helps keep my brain in a listening mode, rather than visual. Keep the visual to what knobs and buttons you are pressing. Can't read and see which buttons you are pressing at the same time. I think I got the gist of what you're trying to show in this vid, but... I don't think there is a chance I could replicate it. Was thinking of watching it again, but I don't know if I would get it a second time. Not trying to be like youtube flammer, just constructive criticism. There are foreign films I don't mind reading the dialog, but for visual films, it is painful missing the art just to get the dialog. Same here.
офигеть! не знал, что зажав кнопку нужного "шага" можно дать точный параметр чего либо этому шагу. так можно программировать клевые басс линии например, крутя скорость семпла для каждого шага. спасибо,клевые туторы по вольке!
Okay, I gotta say, ever since months before getting my Volca Sample, I watched all your videos concerning the machine tens of times and love them ever since! But I have one question... I have been fiddling with my little boy for almost a year and I still can't figure this out. How on Earth do you do the mute/solo trick? You mute or solo some parts, then hold and when you release they come back! How do you do it? Thanks for the amazing content through the years, by the way, never change
RadeonThe1st You've probably already found the answer to your question by now, but I'll echo the comment from Dennis further down in the comments section: If you hold mute and Key 16(All) it will unmute all your muted loops/sequences.
thants very nice and a cool workaround i've got 2 of these baby's yesterday did I say baby's haha didn't know they were sooo tiny but there actually not so hard to get used to and I can take them everywhere with me that's so cool I got these with a mixer with effects so I can do effects that way but that's not per part like your delay effect unfortunately
At around the 35 second mark, you hold down mute, and turn off the first two tracks, but then you let it go, they come back on. How are you doing this? When I do this, my tracks stay muted and I have to manually un-mute them. By the way, great tutorial man, I've learned a lot :)
+Schtang MUTE button + ALL (16 key) = UNMUTE ALL PARTS, repeat it and You will return to last MUTE state. Feel free to ask if it doesn't helps and thanks for Your comment.
Any sample will work but maximum delay time will be equal to the sample length. You can make long sample shorter with LENGTH knob and you can make short sample longer with SPEED know (of course it will change sample pitch). For short samples like hi hat #2 "Sequence Delay" technique will work better.
