Well done sir! Volca Sample is my favourite gadget right now... I like how the limiting factors of the machine are geared toward encouraging creativity. Nice work.
What a great idea! This is perfect if you wanna do a little live performance. Load in 2 or 3 loops and chop up a sample on the rest of the pads. Thanks for sharing!
Just got my Vsample today! I am late to the party I guess, but I already love it! x) This vid really bagged the vsample for my part. This beat of yours is really inspiring. Having loads of fun with presets so far! But I guess I will start experimenting with chops like yours!
@Dennis Mozgovoy This tutorial convinced me to get one. Thanks a lot. Bought mine yesterday and pretty much spent the entire night jamming around with this funky bad boy. Awesome!
Nice video! Thanks for the tips, again! Also, I have a question! How did you give the bass a melody? 5:40 The pitch of step 1 and step 13 has different ones than others. The motion sequence is not on... HOW???
As a pimp, he has his own pimp hat with interchangable feathers, he might have the green feather on his hat (he need to rethink the digital watch though...)
I would really like to use Volca for MPC type of sampling. The only problem is that Volca plays the whole sample everytime, and doesn't cut it when I press another sample (the way it cuts in MPC if I understood correct). That's why I also have to define the lenght of the sample, and not just improvise. If there are any tips how to do this easier I am very happy to take some advice!
+tombolo I don't know fix for that, but Part 9 and 10 on Volca Sample do cut each other the way You want. BTW: I'd chop samples on AKAI MPC the same way this video shows and play them without cutting-cancel each other.
+easementh/theianist Usually it's intuitive but in this video I've trying to recreate that track: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_I02MrKd0do.html
Couldn't you just load the sample(loop) into only part 1, then set different sample start and end points for each step ? This way you would save sample memory and parts as well. Or am i not thinking this through ? At least it would be an option to kinda timestretch a loop, REX-style.
@@natura808 Alright, I guess I just don't understand how I could replace 1 sample that is stock on the Volca which I don't use, with one I would use. Doesn't vosyr replace all of them?
+KC Lorenz Now I'm using this one: www.singlecellsoftware.com/cevs ...but this one definitely worth to check it: www.frederikson-labs.com (thank You Orangebudday) and both are free.
+Dennis Mozgovoy I used Caustic editor in the past and it did pretty well . I will check the other out also. Thank you for the info, it is much appreciated!
It's nearly possible to do it with the 002 from retrokit, stay tuned, I spoke with them and they said they will implement some of these features possibly..
If you have an Android phone and are looking for something similar to this sampler that is free, check out the sample sequencer app: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.logicmutant.drummalogic
