This 2014 Golf TDI came to me with several faults...
In this video, I will be tackling an issue with the EPB... (Electronic Parking Brake)
Quite simple in the end, but still, think it is worth to share it with you...
PS.- Even though the broken part of the connector, was only the outside, and the connector was still weather tight, I ended up replacing it.

Electronic brake is just a stupid idea, hill assist stupid idea, auto hold stupid idea. JUST GIVE ME NORMAL EXCELLENT MANUAL BRAKES AND HAND BRAKE NOT THIS RUBBISH

I had to go to a epb fault where the guy had changed a brake caliper on the back but the epb module didnt know where the piston was on the new caliper using the stepper motor. Had to send a direct feed from the working caliper to actuate the new caliper. Then did the adaptation so both the stepper motors where in unison. Job done and a VERY happy customer who was gonna get ripped off by VW.

i had the same codes on a passat last week with open windings in the caliper motor. new motor sorted it. Thank you for the informative video.

Had various problems with mine same car same age even after various Caliper rebuilds my Caliper still sticks slightly unless the parking brake is not used ! I think the system stops reversing the motor too soon wish there was a relearn or adaption procedure for this! Thank you for the video much love as always

Hello, I have a similar message coming up on my 2012 Passat B6 'Error parking brake. Owner's manual!'. I checked for codes myself using an OBDI device and no codes showed up. I tried restarting the car and the code still appears. I went to some car workshop and they told me something about the 'Clutch master cylinder' and a code '03182' coming up and charging me alot of money. Do you have any suggestions please? Would it possibly be simple as changing the 'B6 EPB switch' or just some simple reprogramming issue? I am clueless...

Ya like the handbrake or e brake is the most important part of the car why would you make it electric why not do what Nissan do they use the abs to hold it on the hill

LM Auto Repairs no worries but truly you’re doing incredible work research diagnostic etc etc The only point for a guy like me is that I would like to be able to talk a lot more in à technical way In fact I am hydraulic technician working in motorsports dep and I always follow street cars Technic since ever (don’t ask why I just like it ) but I can only learn true people like you as I am more experienced in mechanical side and not electrical stuff, off course I know a few stuff but I am curious to know and to learn more you know

You can try to use the right knob to scroll on the menu in order the reset the tpms, and push the right knob to confirm.

One question... The odometer is 129332 km.. But in 6:50 min of the video one value show as.. "Brake disk drying..." 207597 km. WHAT IS THIS...???? Turn back the odometer?
