Thanks man.. I'm glad you actually mentioned it because I completely forgot to give an update.. I went and double checked the coding and realised I had coded it wrong. Now I don't remember what exactly was wrong with the coding. But upon changing to the right coding the menu button does work and it cycles through the different screens and gives a list of other sub menus you can change using steering wheel instead of plugging the car in all the time to do it..
Don't know if you figured this out or nut but if this is anything like over here in the states you need to replace your turn signal stalk with one that has a separate cruise control arm. You'll also need to replace the lower steering wheel trim.
I had looked into that. I went with that one to keep it period correct and like the ones like it came from the factory. Over here not all have a separate stalk for cruise control. It's more of an Audi thing. But the coding on the car does allow to enable either type of controls.
@_LuisS I just know over here we can't use the single stock as it will not allow the mfsw buttons to control the mfd. Over here if you get the mfd and no mfsw you get the single stalk, get the mfd with mfsw you get the dual stalk.
@_LuisS no we have both coding options but if you want the steering wheel buttons to work you ha e to run the dual stalk as the single will not allow the right steering wheel buttons to work.
Cruise control was already working from the moment I retrofitted it and coded the car. No calibration to the angle sensor necessary for cruise control. But because I changed module to support mfsw I then had to calibrate it and it wasn't necessarily easy to do. I did spend quite sometime going to ross tech website while performing the actions to calibrate it and it just wasn't having it. In the end I got it done after doing the same process so many times. I don't even know what exactly I done differently the last time but was a huge headache to get it done.
@@_LuisS I see, that helped a lot. I'm planing to do the same thing, found the module, but was worried about angle sensor calibration after mfsw retrofit. I guess I'll have to find someone with more experience to do that for me. Thank you very much, this video and the detailed info you gave me was very helpful. I'm subscribing
@mrblack9583 it's a great upgrade.. I really like the mfsw. I would give it a go. You can still look for someone as a backup plan. Then try the whole procedure yourself and if you really can't do it then take it to that person. By doing it yourself not only you're learning something new, you're also be more confident in the future doing whatever coding related.. 😉 That's great. Thanks very much for subscribing.. Hope you sharing it too with your friends buddy.. 😎
Hello mate , nice video , gotna question , when i turn on ignition it saya mfsw does that mean my steering nldule is for multifunctuon allready ? Even tho the car came with with a standard steering wheel on, not sure if the previous owner changed it about 😅
It could be.. I really don't know about that. Steering wheel could've been changed or module could not be coded correctly.. Only war to know for sure is plugging it in and check what coding it has..
Hello. Congrats for the video and it is very helpfull. But can you give me the codes for the airbag, the central module for the multifunctional steering wheel? I would lile to upgrade myself also and want to loon for the parts. Thanks alot!
When. You say codes. Are you referimg to part numbers? Cause if it's that I don't have one for the airbag. I just bought one with the mfsw control harness. And the steering wheel module I used the one with part number 1K0-953-549-вС which is a highline module.
With your module being a midline like mine was you'll need a highline module for it to work. You should look for a module ending in BP. After coding you'll need also to do adaptation to the steering wheel because it is a new module.. Search it up on ross tech website how to do it!
Hey man, I’ve got a mk5 golf GTI 2006 I’ve got the steering wheel with the correct air bag. I’m now stuck on the steering wheel control module. Which one is the correct one for my car ? Can you please advise me 😅
That will depend on your current module part number. You'll have to get a highline module, but there's different versions. Depending on your current part number I'll know which one you would need. If you scan it let me know the part number and I'll be able to help. Or shoot me a message on Instagram and I'll send you the list with all part numbers for the modules. 😉
@@_LuisS okay brilliant, thank you for all of your help! I’m taking the steering wheel off within the next few days to replace it with a new one so I will pop the module out and post the part number on here 😁
@@_LuisS Hey! Appreciate the video, helped me a lot! I changed my steering wheel to multifunctional one and I have the same issue with angle sensor calibration... It's been three days and still didn't calibrated 😢 I tried calibrating using Delphi program, but it's not working... Just bought a vcds cable so wish me luck! 😕
@michalxxo7462 it's a very complicated process.. I took me a lot of tries before I actually got it.. That's why I stop recording because I was getting fed up with it. I made sure I mention that it was very tricky to get it calibrated.. I think I followed the instructions on this website. wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/VW_Golf_(1K)_Steering_Assist I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH HOW IMPORTANT TO FOLLOW THIS INSTRUCTION TO A T. SKIPPING ANY STEP WILL RESULT IN A FAILED ATTEMPT.. DO EXACTLY WHAT IT SAYS THERE. TOOK ME 3 TRIES AFTER I FOUND THIS TO GET IT DONE.
Hello i i have mk5 change module under steering wheel which end with AG from highline change clock spring witc C mark, also put steering wheel with mult func butons, everthyng work but cruise control dont work jn measuring block everthyng work but dont show on dash and error implausible signal error code any advice thanks
Double check coding. Being that the module never been on your car go through the entire process of coding cruise control.. That means going into engine and enabling it first before coding the module itself. Also clear all fault codes because you'll have a couple from replacing the module and it not working at the moment.. I think that will make it work again..
