I guess Im randomly asking but does anyone know of a tool to get back into an instagram account?? I stupidly forgot the password. I appreciate any tips you can offer me
jpchevron How exactly? It's not really revolutionary as it is evolutionary.. the design is really basic and bland not a step up from the outgoing model....
Almost 4 months into owning this car and so far I like it. Indeed very easy and relaxing to drive. Fuel consumption is good as well! I once managed to reach 50mpg on a 6 mile commute to work, that took 10 minutes. Generally it's around 40mpg for me, I try to take it easy.
So new in 2018 it was £13.5k...and now, 5 years later, it is still £13.5k used with 33k miles on the clock. Just shows how bonkers the used market is at the moment.
Seems like an amazing car! Great design and functionality. A very appealing price tag, and the same technology and interior as the golf. I hope they release an electric or hybrid verdion as well.
I’ve just bought this car today in white and I love it already. So looking forward to my journeys in this car. And the fact it’s maintained a really good value! Vw’s hold their value much better than other cars. It drives so smoothly I feel like I’m on a magic carpet. It’s gorgeous would highly recommend to anyone considering.
I do like the styling of the new Polo a bit but what really annoys me is that the backlights of the Polo and Ibiza are literally THE SAME. I know this is not uncommon in the automotive industry but still it's just... meh
CoDMW2freakNL Keep in mind SEAT is owned by Volkswagen. And the taillights of Polo and Ibiza are not literally THE SAME. Look at some cars from the 50's, they have literally the same headlights and sometimes taillights. Why don't you hate on 1950's cars instead? Oh and look at Mercedes C-Class and E-Class and finally the S-Class, they have similar taillights and they're all three are from Mercedes-Benz.
I know SEAT is in the VAG and I know more manufacturers do this (/have done this)... I know I'm being nitpicking but I just think it would look better if the taillights where more distinctive from one another.
I'd rather they just put the rear view camera by the number plate. Putting it in the handle seems a bit too complex. Just another expensive solution to a very small problem.
Nothing much. No it's very smart actually My golf gti has it and it never gets dirty because it's covered 99% of the time Thinking that it'll break that easily is not true My brother's car's camera sits above the license plate and it becomes impossible to use it when it rains because the lens get dirty and foggy very easily
You push the badge like that to open the tailgate. However, it also opens automatically when reverse gear is engaged, as it contains the cars rear view camera
Unboxing Sve Dull cars. I only got one new VW, back in 2012. A Polo TDI. Overpriced and not worth the money. Unbelievably cheap interior with flimsy door panels. When you put the back seats up, all the foam is on display. Very poor finish. Handling was terrible, it had no feel at all in corners and at speed. Steering is supposed to stiffen the faster you go. My Polo didnt, it felt dangerous. Got rid and will never buy another VW again. Dont laugh but I had a Suzuki Celerio for a few months and that was more fun to drive AND better built. Why do people keep buying VW cars? They are not premium, yet VW still thinks the brand is desirable haha. I know Audi is owned by VW but if you can afford a VW, surely you can afford an Audi for a bit extra cost, and the quality is miles better. If you are not into German brands, and not bothered about image, better off buying a Hyundai or Kia than a VW. You get a lot more car for your money. Obviously some people like all the latest tech stuff in cars, and perhaps are swayed towards certain brands because of that. Me personally, ride handling and the sound of the engine and overall pleasure of driving are more important to me than LED lights, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning shite, and all the other crap that car makers are putting in and overcharging you for!
Had this thing as a rental for few days and i agree, it's overpriced and dull. There's no point in buying this when you can get the better handling, faster, more reliable, cheaper to own and better looking Mazda 2 for cheaper.
Can't wait to see the review of the new GTI! I would like to see how it handles the 2.0 engine and how it compares with the new Fiesta ST (Also looking forward to see that review)
Bruce Lee new Fiesta are abit ermmm not as good. My Mum works for Ford, been inside it and driven it. Not happy with it, interior is nice though maybe the ST will be better of course
Should be good but the only weird thing is it's got 20 more HP than the previous 1.8 Polo GTi but 0-60 time is the same. Either traction control isn't great or the new Polo is heavier (and probably thirstier).
I think VW knows that owners of the current model will question the need of upgrading to it, but the the extra length and chassis will probably give it a completely different feel. Like feeling like a big car on a motorway, and the longer wheelbase will improve handling. Plus all the extra new in-car tech, more rear space and a 2.0L 200hp engine - I think the GTi could be the perfect all-rounder. I have a Golf R 7.0 at the moment and generally Im happy to sacrifice practicality for a bit more performance (and you don't need sacrifice much with the Golf R)...but I reckon if they had this new model of Polo with 4WD and maybe 250HP+...I reckon that would be "the one".
Aleen Baruah no brother I think it will come with almost all features may be some as optional..... Only one thing about what i am not sure is the overall length becz in india vw might launched it under 4 metre
Mat is just super! Best reviews and best presentation ever! I have ordered one just like the one Mat is reviewing, same color, highline edition however with dsg and 115 hp (this one has also rear disc brakes) , power sunroof, electronic suspension, 17 inch rims just like in the video, led all around and inside, all safety features including ACC etc. Mat definitely played a major role to that as I'm following every review he makes. Expecting it end of April mid May.
Got it a couple of weeks ago. Better than expected, the ACC function is really something, you should get it if you can, on Highline is standard. Electronic adjusted suspension is another big plus as you can tailor the suspension and performance to your liking, excellent seats, nice interior with led lights all around, even on the door handles! So far so good although I was hoping for a better set of tires than the NEXEN NBLUE HD PLUS that I got. Mind you the 17 inch wheels have to be set at 2.5 bar(36 psi) front 2.3 (33 psi ) at the back, which may be a little stiff for some but these are 215/45 tires so not to be complaining. However, factory setting for a more comfort ride as option is 32 psi front 29 psi back but you somehow loose the steering feel that way.
I love the Vw polo. It's been 5 years since I've had mine, but the after sales service is so so bad ! It's expensive to maintain, and just a mess when it's in the hands of the service center :/ If I didn't love the car so much, I'd have sold it off! Hoping this one aspect will improve with the new generation .
Thanks for the review Mat. Any plans for a review of the GTI version? I think it could have the potential to be an absolute bargain for the people that might have been considering the Golf GTI. Add a Carwow discount and you've won the game.
It is 2019, and Volkswagen still hasn't brought this model of Polo to India, even though Polo has completed 10 years in India and still remains a people's favorite.
That's a face-lift for the mk4. Went from the 4 bug eyes to the golf mk5 looking front. They're still the same car and the mk4 was on sale for a looong time for vw
All right, I don't know where the S-Class comparisons are coming from (I've seen this in another comment) but it's a Polo. And judging by the marks from different reviewers it's around or slightly behind the new Fiesta. Not sure what you people gain for hyping a car.
Sergiu-Lucian Petrică I did not say that the Polo is an S-Class, not sure why anyone would say that... What I obviously meant is, that the new Polo is to other superminis, what an S-Class is to other rival luxury cars, mainly aiming towards technology and comfort.
Sergiu-Lucian Petrică I thought it was perfectly common and well known phrase, my first statement. A lot of people are using this kind of sentences, so I thought it would make a lot of sense, my bad...
I picked my 95bhp dsg 4 weeks ago now and I can honestly say it’s perfect in every way . I am glad I added the parking pilot and folding mirrors .limestone grey looks prefect and the seats are so comfy
A lot of dumb American stereotypes here. Most people buy crossovers (small SUVs/tall cars) with V6 engines or smaller as gas isn't *that* cheap over here.
I think the suzuki swift its a much better option than polo anyways. It is smaller but for 16k you get much more tech,7 year guarantee its more reliable and efficient.
OreShqipe I Heard that they are only on Models with The lower engine. If you choose The 1.5 or 2.0 TSI engine you will get proper Disk Breaks in The Back 👌
In fact drum breaks dont need to be changed and repaired all the time. On my 2008 Polo the rear Disk Breaks rusted all the time. No need for Disk Breaks in a small car
I regularly switch between a 1.0L with 4 discs and a 1.2L with 2 discs and the difference in breaking power is insane!!! I will never buy another vehicle no matter engine size, which only has 2 dics. Especially for the price you pay for cars now and for the way other people drive. Breaking is not about how fast the engine can make you go, it's about how fast and safely you can stop, no matter if you are going 10km/h or 100km/h.
Bosworth Otavio Hahahaha 😂😂 You broke me there !! I agree, then hopefully they'll stay with their rightful owners... I can't wait for the Fiesta vs Polo battle next year 👏🏻👏🏻 RS vs R is already so good
Edwin Simpson I read that both Fiesta ST and Polo GTI produce 147kw which is basically 197Hp (if not mistaken). The only problem is the Fiesta gives that power in a smaller sized engine 1.5L compared to Polo's 2.0L. Till now my fav was the Fiesta simply cuz it looks way sportier and is fun to drive that Polo GTI, but that may change now cuz I totally am fucking with this new Polo😁
Bosworth Otavio You're correct bro ! Ford doing some amazing things with small engines ! Fuel economy is going to be awesome on that 3pot ST... Yeah the new Polo looks very good !!! I hope the base model won't disappoint... They are sort of the same car, yet they differ so much!!
Drum brakes are fine for small cars, most of the braking is done by the fronts anyway. They also don't cause brake dust or cost a fortune to replace, I'm sure most owners won't even notice the lack of rear discs.
The 6th gen Polo has the same problem as the 5th gen, and that's that VW isn't bringing it to the US. Just like VAG aren't bringing the T-Roc or their Audi cousins the A1 and Q2.
NeoGee VW doesn't deserve any success in the US. I'd say that they treat us like a 3rd World Market, but that'd be inaccurate, because 3rd World markets get the Polo!
Maybe it is because many people in germany think americans would only buy big SUVs and other trucks. Those small cars have better selling numbers in europe and asia
because americans want yuuuge vehicles and pick ups that is why vw painstaking decide to make a 7 seater suv atlas in the usa and the amarok for the american market
Excellent review, as always from Mat. But why would they fit drum brakes in the back instead of disks, whilst having adaptive dumpers? What kind of corners did they cut? I presume the car has a beam suspension in the back instead of a multi-link set-up.
Seems like a great car! Also looks great, and what a color that orange! Sick of silver, red and white cars. The old Polo was already very nice to drive, but this also now has the comfort of Golf.
At the risk of making too much sense or being too logical, I have a question. Why doesn't the USA get this car ? Ford gives us the focus and the fiesta (st as well !), Honda sells us the Civic and the fit (civic si, but no fit si), and if for some reason you really want a Chevy, I believe even Chevy gives us the cruz, and the sonic. (NO Chevy sport variant of the Cruz, but that's a separate little "rant")....So VW North America, why not the Golf AND the Polo ? More specifically, why not the Golf GTI AND the Polo GTI ?
Ikr, I think it's grown way too big. The Polo GTI is heavier than a MK7 manual Golf (!), it's fat as fuck. Its competitors are 100-200kg lighter and that will absolutely show in performance.
I've got a golf mk7 and my girlfriend has a polo mk5. One thing I notice in the polo is the controls are incredibly light compared to mine. For example the clutch just goes straight to the back of the footwell if you as much as look at it funny. Is this still a thing with the mk6? Gives it a much less premium feel I found. Stiffer controls are definitely something I'd pay a little extra for in the golf.
@@croKingRIncho93 that is absolutely amazing thank you very much. Also im new to the car world and i just got my license could you give me a slight idea how much does it cost to own a car if its the correct wording. Much appreciated.
I had a automatic as temporary car while my golf was (again...) at the garage. It is a lovely car! But no more VW for me... good cars, but bad experience with the maintenance
Not that keen on the front looks but hey, I'm not complaining (much). There's no doubt this is a brilliant car and looking at its features and practicality, its all the car a person like me would ever need for daily use.
@@BeyondtheTherapyDoor ya i do but i don't know if u do. Coz it does matters to me if some foreigner uses Hindi in his video. It is a nice gesture bro. Where u at?
Theres more on the options list than on the ford as some things on the ford list come as standard but optional on the Volkswagen lists like rear disks leather steering wheel leather gearshift leather multimedia steering wheel .
First time in my life i have watched a fully grown adult sneak from the backseat into the trunk and I have subscribed to this channel for reasons like these ! Fun :)
tbf modern engines provide quite abit of power despite the small engine size. the entry level 1l in the polo is quite slow but the more expensive 1l engines can produce around 113bhp which isnt too bad for a 1l engine
FULD DAKKE DAK if the t roc had a tgi engine i would be sold. Cng fuel is where the future of cars should be, shame there is no market for it in the uk.
