I don't care what anybody says, this was a damn nice car back in the day. A classy punchy car that would walk over anything in its own class and put some luxury brands to shame
Brilliant. I remember seeing the original German video review and always wondered what they were saying about my car 😁 Good work Retro Car Reviews, you've got yourself a sub 👍
The Golf R32 before the Golf R32 was a thing (and yes, I know the Beetle RSi was the actual test mule for the Golf R32). Seems like a proper "wolf in sheep's clothing".
Guessing you're in the US. The former was the Mk 3, the latter the Mk 4. In the UK, either model was a trim designation of its own over and above the GTI. The Mk 3 arrived in the US 3 years behind everywhere else as US versions were to come from the Mexican plant, but it had the quality control of a sewer so things were somewhat delayed.
@@farmergeddon7527 maby bc stupidity of people. Like sticking M badge on BMW 325i or RS badge on diesel octavia. Why wouldn't they had gti badge in this video? Because it it not a gti, it is vr6
@@RetroCarReviews He means only a cheetah can keep up with a cheetah, for example. Bugatti's Chiron ad proved this point. In this case I think they used a fast suv as the cam car. Who knows of any fast trucks from the 90s?
