This is my favourite Eurovision song. It's about parents who are forced to flee the country due to economic dificulties looking for better job opportunities often leaving their children with grandparents or relatives. This leaves the children to grow up without parents. So it's a kind of sacrifice parents make for their kids "You will be the reason to start all over again". And the final note of "Don't leave your children behind" always moves me to tears. It's so powerful.
Sedma9 Same thing here. Many other songs deserve better places (in my humble opinion) than they've received. Nevertheless my vote went to Romania. I've discovered a lot of great songs and artists this year and Voltaj is one of the best (if not the best).

Željko Crnić I'm Romanian and I loved Moja Stikla in 2006! (even though I didn't understand a word of it) I still listened to it years later, which is somehow strange because I don't usually listen to folk music. :))

I still remember that TV evening. In between some crap that was on, I went to the bathroom to wash hands because I was cooking. In some 20 seconds I rushed back into the kitchen, my hands in foam, my face in tears. Who is that singing?!!!! I still remember me, soap foam on my hands and tears in eyes out of music. I use to wipe them with inner elbow part of my shirts sleeves as if no one sees. I voted for this song. Peace!
So many years have passed, but I still feel sorry that this beautiful song did not take its rightful place at that Eurovision. The song with such an important message. Love love love it.

I don't know what you guys think but, for some reason, this song was my first semifinal favourite! I was expecting Elhaida or Polina to have an excellent performance (they did) but Romania's performance was just so good!
This was one of only three times I've ever cried during Eurovision. The music and the vocals are just so emotive, I was getting pangs before I even knew what the song was about. So happy it got through
This song had to win, nobody can doubt about that. I'm not Romanian, fully Belgian, so I don't understand a single word, but no need for that cause a truely good song hits you right in the heart with it's passion and emotions. This song had to win, there was not a single one that year and the years after that was slightly this good.

Hey! Maybe I'm a little late but I'm romanian and I wanted to tell you that this song has made me cry several times. It is about a kid whose parents had to go work abroad and forgot about him, abandoned him and the kid didn't know why they weren't answering his calles and letters

this song transcends language barriers, i can't speak nor understand romanian yet this song gives me chills due to the staging and calin's on point voice. definitely my favourite romanian entry of all time.

ktbpa I'm Romanian and I'm really sad the Netherlands didn't pass! It was my 3rd favorite after Russia and Estonia in this semifinal, and I think it's much better than Sweden, which is alrady branded as winner by the gambling companies! Voltaj is my favourite band since i was a kid. YES I am from Romania and i am so proud that they represent us at Eurovision. I am proud of you no matter the results after Saturday night. Beautifull song , beautifull lyrics and a beautifull message. They came dressed presentable not like others.
I am from Romania and that was great, special because it was in Romanian and then English...so amaizing!!! :D They have also a message to the Romanians, which are goimg to work in Europe, and the children remain at home for long time! Now I live in Vienna , and I am so happy to support Romania from here>3
