Great video. Your observations are spot on and I like your style of video.

It's funny how so many people become experts in motorcycle death & injuries when they know nothing about (1) motorcycling and (2) safe motorcycle driving. At the same time I have a bad opinion of the basic courses required to get a driver's license, so I do believe this is a big part of the problem. If you do your homework though, the odds stay on your side. Anyways... you make a good point with your ending comments: life is a long ride (pun intended) it's our job to make sure it's not a boring one.

I rode a long time ago for 10 years. Almost died because a jackass unleashed dog torpedoed me at 45mph... and within 5 miles of my house (got to love that statistic). Dead dog +62k in medical bills + life support = me not riding again for 10 years. Always missed it though. In 2019 life and stress got to me and I said screw fear and hopped on another bike... my Honda Monkey. Since I'm out in the country lots of hill billys don't know what leashes or fences are therefore lots of dogs who get off on chasing motorcycles. I don't know which is worse, your crazy drivers or my loose dogs... and sometimes deers 🦌 ... with antlers 😳. Anyways, go for my first couple Monkey bike jaunts with my head on a SUPER SWIVEL. See a dog up ahead meandering aimlessly, but as soon as I was adjacent it lunged... right into the heal of my left motorcycle boot 👢 😎. I had anticipated its move. Beings I was so low to the ground on this bike full MMA impact. I thought to myself "So why am I riding again??? 🤔". Your answer came to mind... because I want to thats why... Great episode. Thanks for sharing and food for thought.
