nice job, I like the way you got the repair flush rather than just over welding a patch.

Cavity wax! Lanolin based cavity wax will last a long time and give you the best corrosion protection you can get. It's really worth it to prevent rust underneath plastic panels.

The rear sill has that mud trap which ensures it rusts- I wish mine was in such good condition.

A grinder and paint makes you the welder you ain't 😂

I have just rebuilt the rear right sill end with 2 and 3 mm steel- and I've removed the mud trap. the filler and painting has been done to a very poor standard as i have broken my thumb. However- it is very strong now.....

Just to let you know. You put this up 15 hours ago... This is the first time I have seen it advertised on RU-vid!!! I would have watched this straight away, as you know I love coffee! Yeah - clearly that silly quote to the previous owner was a "take your business elsewhere" quote

I made the sill bottom out of 25 x 4 mm flat. It's not going to rust in my time with it...

Use a metal japanise spatula when aplying filler, you Can beandand dont put to much on at a time.
