Timeless touringcar design. Even the latest model of the volvo 9700 has some design cues in the side profile. The previous UG generation has alot of design elements of the carrus star series.
Otto Osula gave us a good comprehensive history of his bus company which was interesting. I am familiar with the practice of border bribery, beer, cigarettes etc. In those days it was normal for the second driver to sleep under the floor. Nice classic bus! Is the body a former Delta Star model? I can totally relate to the comment about the gearbox, I found it fascinating too! In the old Volvo museum (today closed) was a DH12 engine from a B12M on exposition which had done 2,9 million kms if I remember correctly.
