Yacht Devices Engine Gateway YDEG-04 is compatible with all versions of Volvo Penta EVC, including the first version EVC-A (also known as EVC-MC or EVC-EC); engines with MDI (Mechanical Diesel Interface, D1 and D2 series); with engines equipped with EDC III (EMS2) and EDC IV systems; with gasoline engines equipped with EFI system (MEFI4B or MEFI5 controllers are supported, with or without EVC system installed); with gasoline engines equipped with Volvo Penta EGC (with or without EVC system installed).
Volvo Penta EVC-A MC (EVCmc) use Volcano protocol instead of J1939. And Yacht Devices Engine Gateway is the first and only NMEA 2000 gateway that supports the EVC-A and EVC-MC (Volcano) protocols.

I have the early EVC MC type of D3 engine. What do I need to make it work, like it shows in the video. I have as well fuel consumption on my Volvo instrument

Hello. I have a VP D3 from 2012. I bought a Volvo Penta Easy Connect with blue tooth. Currently I have it installed at the gas throttle but it will not show consumption data. Can I use easy connect and install it at the engine to get out this information, where? Any thing I need to complement?

I wonder how the customer Jurgen made that work. I try really hard with same nmea2000 gateway but newer manage to make it fully work with my D3-160IA running EVC-MC
