This week we got the chance to review Volvo's V40. It's an alternative option to some of it's more popular German rivals, the Audi A3, the BMW 1 series and of course the Mercedes A-Class.
It's very aesthetically pleasing, particularly in the white with the alloy wheels, however, when you compare it to some of Volvo's other cars like the V60, the XC40, it really seems like it could do with a facelift.
It comes with a far more standard kit than any of the other cars in its range, and for that reason, it's definitely a hatchback worth considering! The 1.5-litre T3 engine offers excellent power (150bhp). However, the automatic gearbox is a bit sluggish. This shouldn't be a problem though, as anyone interested in a Volvo isn't buying it for its dynamic driving ability but instead it's smooth driving.
We hope you enjoy the review, and any feedback is much appreciated in the comments.
