Appreciate the support, thank you. I'm not sure on any such procedures, however, once fitted, codes cleared, I haven't had any issues since, cars been running a treat. I'll certainly read into this though, thank you for heads up.
For the adaption process (using Vida allows you to reset old values and guide U through) to enable the ECM to relearn (will do this over time, I had 20 adaptions b4 I did mine. Process is when driving in 4,5,6 gear let the car engine brake in a test drive, test takes 20-30 mins depending on how long your engine braking. I found after about 30s I would have to accelerate again to repeat another engine brake cycle.
I finally got injector number 3 replaced in my volvo v50 (2011 DRIVe version). It would shortcircuit in colder weather when I'd give it a lot of gas. Every 2 weeks or so, code P1263, I'd clear it and keep driving. The job and a new injector cost 350 euros in total. After doing the adaptation on the injector, they told me that injector number 1 was also malfunctioning and throwing up incorrect readings. Car is now running fine as far as I'm concerned, but I do feel the engine misfiring when I drive very fast. The power and the gas mileage is excellent. Dunno if I should do anything more at this point. I found a reconditioned injector for 145 euro online but I also know that some shops can clean your injectors too. Not sure how I should proceed.
Mine started leaking after few days... Had to change the fuel return pipe... And also the orings. But the orings had the price of the original Ford return pipe... I don't like that you can't find some decent rubber rings at lower prices.
I haven't done any coding at all. I simply plugged diagnostics to delete the fault code (injector 2 misfire) once the injector had been replaced, and the engine has been running smoothly since doing it. Wasn't actually aware any coding was potentially needed.
Every injector as a code (id) on top (6 digits). You need to replace the old injector code for the new one. And then reset all injectos values...something like that. Torque spec is 4nm + 65º deg
@@brunoduarte7532 Hi Bruno, just I am wondering which diagnostic you used to reset injectors codes and insert the new codes? My car is Volvo V50 D2. Thanks in-advance
Needs coding and injector pilot learning reset procedure, car will run fine and will eventually learn itself over time, but the optimal way is to code and re learn straight away
