The issue is the fiber optic in not getting the signal to turn on the radio. On the screen once you take it out disconnect the orange fiber wires and you will see a red light on one side but no light emitting on the other side. Remove the 4 screws on the waterfall and remove the cd player . Remove the power harness and the orange and black connectors for the fiber. Now connect the power to the cd unit and the fiber connection. If you look at the fiber wire to the screen you should see a faint blinking light now. Connect the screen back and see if the radio information returns it should I just did this with my audio installation people and it works to reset the unit and not cost 1000 dollars. I hope this helped other Volvo citizens. 11-15-2021
If this works my wife is going to love you 🤣🤣 Radio just went out one day and then after the battery died while it sat it came on again for a few days and then died out once again and has yet to come back on regardless if I disconnect the battery for a day or so.
@@blizarrdd5398 haven’t messed with it. Dealing with another issue right now. Flat tire so we have been using the other car and on top of that something is draining the battery with the car off so yayyyy 😑 have to buy tires soon and once it’s back running I’ll check it out.
@@acokedupmonkey3762 i also had a flat last week on top my sunroof drains leaking and both rear floor mats are soaking wet. I’ll try this comment out tomorrow
@@tonih.4988 Hi, you need to go to official Volvo dealer. Only they can do software changes. They need to unlock security chain and after module change they need to lock that chain again.
My screen is broken the radio still works and the air flow dials etc . The screen lights up but just vertical lines show when I turn dials. Anyway I bought a new screen fitted it and the air flow shows and the bass and treble and balance etc but no sound no radio or cd etc. I refitted the old one and the radio works again. I'm wondering if the new screen (second-hand ) is or isn't broken or is it my cars radio unit won't accept it.
@@linguini_No1 no afraid not. Even tried swapping the digital panel but connections were slightly different. I also no longer have the car. Noticing the connections from the sealed unit to the units display were different probably meant that the unit despite the sellers say so were not truly compatible. Perhaps there is a way of being certain that it's a true match. All the best and hope that made sense.
Labas turiu lygiai tokia pacia problema gal galetum siek tiek issamiau kaip jums pavyko sutvarkyti kur stovi tas AMF modulis ir ar reikejo keist ji? :)
Labas. Be Sostenos nieko nepadarysite jei reikės keisti sugędūsi Infotainment komponentą .
i have changed the amf module 30732565-1 for 10 seconds tha system start and works...then stop again...the cd works...i try to clean the used component that i buy but non nothing works like before....
Check all the optical connections and also de bluetooth module connections (if your cady has it). I had the same problem and I it was the optical bluetooth connection which is above the glove box.
Go directly to the Volvo dealer. One of the component will be malfunctioning. In my case it was Am/Fm antena module. It is located in the right side near the back wheel. Somehow it got water.
Took my car to the car wash and radio stopped working after that , seeing your message makes me think I have the same problem ... please can you explain what exactly you did ? Thank you
My problem is way weirder. The whole infotainment system keeps restarting. Every one or two mins, the screen will flash for 3 seconds and then it will go back to normal. works fine after 30 mins of driving so I dunno.. I tried phone, aux and they all do the same thing. At first I thought it was a problem with radio only but now I know it’s the whole infotainment system. I think my Volvo is haunted. Please help this is driving me crazy! Thank you so much!
@@gedimazs1 I actually found out it was the satellite radio/ GPS module which was installed in the back, the problem was also draining my batterie. Hope this helps someone who has the same issue: All I needed to do was unplug it, connect it to a fiber optic optical loop which you can buy at Volvo for like 20 bucks. Now the battery problem is fixed, but I'm still having issues with my radio going on and off. Sometimes it works fine, until I turn the engine off and on.
To add to this solution: in my case (2011 C70), it was the navigation system causing the issue on the optical MOST system. Disconnected the disc drive in the glovebox, added an optical bypass, and voila!
You need to visit official Volvo dealership service. Only they can solve this problem. If disconnecting your battery for few minutes did not help so you have one of the infotainment part malfunctioning.
