Trades46 In fact you have to give more power for friction plate to engage. Engine rpm must be maintained at certain range at certain amount of time for the rear diff to lock.
@uffe91 Well, it IS made to be able to go off road...its a Swedish car after all...its meant to be used on snow and tough terrains, no matter how it looks like.
Look a little closer. The 2 wheels with traction have to go up over bumps. No, you can't do that at idle. And he didn't add that much power. Trust me, Volvos don't need that much power to get through this situation. And this is more of a Traction Control problem (side-side), and has less to do with AWD (front-back).
@@admirmesic5241 The one I bought Tuesday is an R design also in black . I live in the mountains in Tasmania Australia.we get a little bit of snow and heaps of rain . Drove it the 4 hours home in the rain through the mountains and was amazed how well it handled . Has a lot more power then I thought it would. I've never had a diesal before .
@@Charlie-xp9lq Also bought an R-Design in the past week and also live in the mountains of north Tasmania. We should go on an adventure with our XC60. The mountains here are not as high as in Europe, but we have many dirt roads around the mountains that are very interesting and great for camping and photography. I bought the R-Design with polestar and am happy. Even more so as I have the VIDA Dice and dedicated laptop to understand the vehicle and the electronics.A well built car that I think is underrated by many people here in Australia.
Tusen tack.
2:25 lol! "We have to give more power" Actually, this means that it's a poor awd system. A proper 4x4 like a Jeep Grand Cherokee can do this on idle without wheelspin.
