I was 19 years old in the thick of the acid house scene best days of my life and this tune is my favourite i play it every day in work painting and decorating. 🕺
A masterpiece and landmark of Western electronic music. It has the quality of 'raising the hairs on the back of your neck'. Similar to the early works of Phillip Glass and Kraftwerk. And such a mesmerising video that perfectly captures the period.
Have you heard Mellow Madness? Classic track, sampling Al Pacino in Scarface, my introduction to A Guy Called Gerald on the great compilation 'Foundations: Coming Up From The Streets' in 1997 ..
OMFG!! I've been looking for this tune for nearly 30 yrs❤❤❤ i never knew what it was called or who did it. Flashbacks to my early days of rave. Top tune 😁❤
Thanks to God. RU-vid is a very good Source of lost Loving SoundWaves to find them and other great Tracks again and save them easy in your Playlist✔️ 😁
They weren't yet called raves when I went, so I'm probably a couple years older, but I have a ton of the music that you heard played while this was in rotation. It's scattered in playlists on my channel, but if there are any others you want, lemme know and I'll try to help. I know how much it sucks to KNOW IT and NOT know it ... plus I'm saving the world one random act of kindness at a time, so I thought I'd offer. Much love!!! ✌ ϻя.ƹ
Banger ,Belter ,Classic dropped my first E the night I first heard this track way way back in the beginning.❤️ Loved that shit.60 years old now still listening
Very fortunate, not a day goes by without thinking of them days. The rave scene was pure British, everyone from all corners of the country coming together and having the time of their lifes . Old skoolers ❤❤
51 now & totally agree . What the social media dominated youth have now is a bag of 💩compared to back then , my 16 year old daughter agrees ...& wants to go back in time to late 80's Acid House / early 90's rave scene
1987 "The World" in Alphabet City they played this and everyone was blown away by this awesome trax..Larry Tee's love machine...Great time in the club scene for those of u that remember ,"Rock to the beat" another awesome trax from back then.. I'm 54 and remember it like it was yesterday!!!!
@@leeh6572 ..I maybe off a year ,so 1988 not 1987 my recall is a little hazy, but nothing ever was like Larry Tee's love machine and Acid House wensdays
Still more panache, skill, funk and artful subtlety in the production/programming on this than 95% of electronic music that you can dance to released today.
You should check out Gerald's take on Cabaret voltaire's hypnotized if you haven't already, as well as the 12-in with emotion Electric two on the B-side😊
Gerald was working verry hard in 1 of those secret underground studios in the famous bull rings .Look for those who dont know this is a article gunchezter manchester mossside hulme bad boy tune and we own it. ...and even old Tapes have there Charme/Karma/Special Energy/Piece of Conservation of a Window in your Timeline☺️... but old Tapes are not fast and easy to search in...😅... I like People who Upload their old Tapes ✔️
I've had quite a few great times with this playing in the Back ground... Such an unmistakable tune, as soon as it comes on, u know exactly who it is!! 😎🎧🤟
Pretty sure it was ‘89 but either way.. great track and old enough to remember it too, first time around. proper talent, check out Specific Hate... for the OG of “Pacific” / 808..
That 808 in the very beginning with just a little reverb goes harder than most "heavy" tracks today. It's all about composition. About style. Doesn't matter how much boom-boom you layer on top of it. You need a vision.
When released I was too young for the scene. But I the years to come I would have my time and fun sack deep in the scene. Voodoo Ray hinted at what was waiting for me ❤❤❤
wow I love this guy was fortunate to share a track on North sound ov the underground get on one frequency 9check it out ravers a guy called Gerald your Mr hacienda forever
