Hi - Great videos - really enjoy them. Please post a shot of how you have head mounted your Gopro as you seem to have the angle and stability just right.
Found these videos very helpful when I was getting my instrument rating. Especially since I fly in the same area and to all these airports. Keep it up.
GoPRO shutter speed works off the light outside, so the brighter it is the stronger the filter you need. Anything from ND 1.2 to 1.5 works fine. You'll never get rid of the prop completely, but all you really want is to get rid of the "funky" prop. Go with ND 1.2, and maybe have another 0.3 addon ready in case you are in bright clouds.
Goood job sir...well executed your actually assisting me as i work on finishing mi instrument training and ill be doing this type of approach. You made look simple. I know now the technique in terms of establishing on the approach. Thank you G-Vad so much sir. We should definitely do some dual
I actually make training videos for a big company here in the US, I wont put their name because I don't want to associate them with this channel. Videos are mostly internal, for our own people training, but the company has put some of them on the company website for customer help. I also fly for the Civil Air Patrol, U.S. Air Force Auxiliary.
Great video! I'm a student pilot, about to go for my check ride. I'm curious, I looked up KPOC in the A/FD, runway 26L should be left traffic. Why did you choose right traffic?
This is IFR circle to land procedure, has nothing to do with traffic patterns. Basically do anything you want just dont go below minimums. In this case I asked the tower just to make sure I didnt get in someone's way. In bad weather its not a problem because you have IFR separation, in VFR weather better ask before you get in someone's way. But you'll learn all this when you start your instrument training. Circle to land procedures can be fun, but there isnt much room for error
Anyone know a website where i can find people willing to build time in a cheap single engine airplane? I need another 10-15 hours. Cool videos man, keep up the good work
Did ATC tell you to overfly the field and fly a right hand pattern? I have only ever done this one with a standard left pattern after the VOR A approach.
What kind of time do you need? It all depends. Is it simulated (IMC) with a hood, PIC, just hours in general? They are all different. PIC you need to fly yourself, so the best way to do it is take your friends up and have them pitch in $20-30 For simulated or just building time (not all PIC) you need another pilot, best thing to do is find another pilot who needs hood time and switch off, you can log PIC and safety pilot hours.
When in doubt, ask the ATC This was a unique case. Original clearance for the flight was "....V8 - POXKU - V363 - POM" V363 also happens to be right on the KPOC VOR A final approach (R164 from POM) Since I had already been cleared for V363 even before takeoff, I should have immediately turned on the Hdg 344 (R164) to the VOR even without the clearance to do the approach This all took about 3 seconds to go thru my head up there, (1000 feet of overshooting), which is OK cause we had 4 miles ;)
very like your vedio which is explained very well and specific.I appriciate that if you can make the ATC in the video coz I think that will be better for someone like me.
when you get the GO Pro filter sorted out please share your findings,i would love to get my system running the same. In the east we do lots of actual IMC. Cheers Great video
