I've always found Afrikaans to be a beautiful and intriguing language. As a Dutch speaking Belgian (aka Flemish) I don't even need the translations to understand what they are singing. Much love from Little Belgium my Afrikaner brother and sisters!

"Prinsenvlag" is the most beautiful tricolor in the world. I worked in the Netherlands for 4 years, there were a lot of colleagues from South Africa. It was strange to me why many of them were looking at me, then one of them told me that I look just like a Boer from South Africa (I'm 196 cm tall), not only looks, but I generally exude that, they were thinking I'm from there. One also told me that he was never fully accepted there, but he is quite sure they would accept me. The best compliments I ever get. Regards from Croatia!

It dont matter if it was only a few tribes, a few hundred, a few thousands, and a few millions. The land is theirs since they were the first and true people of that specific areas. You do realize the British were fighting other wars around the world in China, logistically how are they going to get their whole army their. And the British didn’t have a large standing army and often had would rather recruit mercenaries to fight. That being said the boers fought a very good guerilla war. But doomed from the start.
