Having just "finished" the physical part of my build, I couldn't help but think .. jeez, how did we get from such a solid piece of engineering to .. these doors? So I bought this door, and looking for a video on someone who had installed it, ran into your stuff again. Good video. Please keep posting Voron mod updates of all kinds. Most of Voron engineering is really best in class, but a few bits .. :) Seriously the stock doors are somewhere between barely serviceable and inexcusably bad. This door, or something similar, should be standard build.
If you have the clearance to swing this door open through the full motion range of the hinges, I feel like this one piece door offers so many benefits!
Looking really solid! What has been your experience with the MGN9 rail so far? (you installed it in the x axis if I remember correctly). Noticed any negative side effects?
I am getting what I consider to be pretty decent print quality at my medium speed settings (375 mm/s speed for infill, and 12,800 mm/s^2 accels), but my input shaper results are still not great. I probably still have some assembly issues to work on, but while the printer is working so well, it's hard to justify tearing it apart again.
@@oldguymeltsplastic I see. Well the print quality is the most important part. Also consider where the accellerometer is placed, maybe you attached it somewhere where other vibrations come into play but don't really matter, like for example the plastic parts/duct. Ideally I think one of those nozzle accellerometers is the best scenario, either that or close to where the attachment point of the hotend is. Other thing could be some dangling cables on the accellerometer it self.
Sparta3D Sparkle ABS+ or ASA in Sky Blue and Purple Mist, also seems identical to West3D's Ambrosia Galactic ABS and ASA. I have used both brands interchangeably.
@@oldguymeltsplastic oh damn, first one doesnt seem to be avalible quite as easily in europe but the latter i found a seller selling it for a fair price! thank you so much i will start using it from now on ^^
Yours for the low low price of paying more in shipping costs than the product itself. Welcome to shipping to Canada from pretty much anywhere else. I wasn't charged any customs/duty fees however.
