With every video you publish of what you are doing I get more excited. I already have a V0 and a RatRig V-Core, but the trident is such a great machine.
may be a stupid idea but cant you swap the rgb signal from your mainboard and have it controlled through the rpi's gpio pins instead as they are not blocked by current print status ?
You probably right and I also think it's possible. I haven't spent time yet to figure out how to directly access RPI GPIO pins from Klipper, but looks like it's the time.
I have tried both separate power supply with common ground and LED header on the Manta M8P itself. Currently I am controlling LED from the Manta M8P signal via Klipper and supplying power via separate power supply.
Looks like the sticks you mentioned have exactly the same LED chips on them. They are 3 times more expensive and have same circuitry, I doubt they would work much better.
I see your point but my Trident is still better than 90% of the machines on the market at this price range, based on your logic I had to just ditch it? Why not to make it a touch better so printer could compete with Bambu? I use exactly the same slicer settings on both printers and the only thing Bambu beats my Trident is Multicolor, but same time it’s looses in multiple other ways especially in usability and control.
