Thank you Terry. I am happy that you and I are one the same page my friend. You're absolutely correct. Stock, fuel economy, performance, high performance and or Racing. The Powers in the Heads. Overlook this important detail, performance for all of the previous categories will suffer. Take care, Ed.

Should valves drop in the guides pretty easy? I noticed they seem to drop right in for you.
@edsmachine93
@edsmachine93 Месяц назад
Hi Mike, thanks for watching. Yes the valves should go in freely. No binding or resistance at all. Have a great day.👍

That's kind of interesting, when you did a valve job on my Briggs head, one spot took a while to get a good contact all the way around. Kind of like some of these seats. Maybe Chevy did the valve work for Briggs . ( just kidding) Another great video brother Ed. 😊
@edsmachine93
@edsmachine93 Год назад
Thanks for watching Bert. Yes these heads are done on a machine, most likely CNC. Done in production, with production specs and standards. The seats were definitely not concentric. The exhaust were the worst in these heads and one intake, 9 out of 16 isn't very good odds. Thanks again Bert. Take care, Ed.

Ok, this is awesome, I love the fact that you do an incredible job explaining what is going on. And the blue marker to get a true look at what's going on. It is truly an incredible job, brother. I just brought home from the Junkyard a 71 Mustang mach 1 351C C6 car. Now, the block is DOAE -L the heads are 4V Small dot closed chamber heads. I would like to pick your brain and find out if you have built any of these.
@edsmachine93
@edsmachine93 Год назад
Thank you R and R, I appreciate you watching and commenting. Yes, as I told you before I have done the 4V small chamber heads. Been along time. Not many build the Clevelands around here. I am still up to the task however. Take care, Ed.

Ed I have a Sioux 657 valve grinder that doesn't have a coolant system on it can I still cut angles with it and polish them later or try to invent a cooling system.. thanks
@edsmachine93
@edsmachine93 3 месяца назад
Hi James, thanks for watching. You need to try and rig up a coolant system and use some valve grinding oil. You can get oil from Goodson Products Co. A small tank for a reservoir and a small pump. A flexible line . I am sure you can do this. Your valve grinding performance will be much better. Have a great week. 👍

@@nopriors Hi Greg, they sell grinding accessories at Goodson Products and or Regis Manufacturing products. But look for a good used units like Ebay. And purchase new replacement stones and pilots as required.. Lots of used equipment out there. Have a great day.👍👍

Thanks for another good one 👍. I appreciate you slowing it down for us, I can tell you're not moving at full clip and given the subject matter it's even more important to understand. A bad valve job will destroy head flow and any shot at compression.
