Electric truckmount generally have 2 power cords of 110 volt. So, since they have to clean from the van, the cords don't have any amps left for a heater (heaters take a lot of amp, expecially heating water that is 800 psi and maintaining the heat), so they are generally external. Electric is good for general carpet cleaning - trigger on off situation. Diesel is better on trashed out traffic areas with trigger wide open. And, the diesel also makes the 800 psi work like a pressure cooker when cleaning tile and grout, so it basically just melts away the grease. The way this magic happens is a big secret among the diesel users. It custs cleaning time by 2/3 rds in most cases. Solution lines come in 50 ft sections. They have a quick connect on them. You disconnect the 50 ft section and insert this in the middle. The fitting fit on the heater. :)

@@marcelpayton7272 Hi, having an auto dump helps with big jobs. This way you don't have to stop the machine to empty the dirty water. Auto dump will dump the dirty water automatically. And for the auto dump to work correctly you need to filter the lint and debris so it won't clog the filter.

What I have found out about the dual cord is that when you get into heavy traffic areas, it will hold the heat 20 degrees or so better than the single cord. This is an auto fill and auto dump. So, no stopping to empty and fill tanks. :)
