Season one was really the only season where keeping people alive mattered. You were rewarded for keeping Ben around with additional character development and getting the better of the two possible "Kenny disappears" scenarios. Starting with season 2 and continuing to this very day, saving a character from a possible death in Telltale's Walking Dead is fruitless. Take season 2's Nick for instance. He was clearly one of the main characters of the story up until the very end of episode 2. He received a ton of attention and character development and it was very clear that one of the focuses of the season was going to be Nick and Clementine's relationship. This was cemented when Clem is put into a situation where she(depending on your choice at the end of episode 1) either encourages Nick to not give up, or promises a dying old man that she'll look out for him. We have all of this story buildup for this character named Nick. But then he becomes a "determinate character" at the end of episode 2, and from there it's all over. The narrative abruptly loses all interest in him. He goes from being one of the most animated and outspoken members of the group to not saying a damn word during long group discussion scenes. After episode 3 acted like he didn't exist say for one small optional discussion and a few extremely isolated throw away lines, episode 4 ended Nick in the most unsatisfying manner imaginable. Not a single word of dialogue, no send off, no real explanation on how he ended up dead. He runs off with Luke to find Sarah and you just find him hanging on a fence as a walker with a bite mark on his neck. You don't even get a proper amount of time to say goodbye because Sarah and Luke are in peril. Luke, his life long friend barely even reacts to the news that he's gone. Stupidity like this has become the calling card of Telltale's Walking Dead.

Watching Lee let go of Ben was actually sad. The music and the angles did a great job of displaying how hard that decision actually was. At the end of the day, Ben was just a scared teenager, after all. He truly didn't know better.

I hated Ben and wanted him to bite the dust on the first opportunity. Then when I got the opportunity to let him die, I couldn't do it. This game along with RDR2 taught me a lot about redemption and forgiveness. Ben is not evil, he is a scared kid who made some terrible choices. He is one of the most realistic characters in TWD cause most of us would be like Ben in a real Zombie apocalypse. He deserves a chance to make things right and redeem himself.

Bens 2nd optional death is more emotional and meaningful than the 1st a feel as he makes Kenny understand what he’s really going through and he tries to make things right with the group. RIP Ben

i always really liked ben and saw him as just a scared kid. he’s more an accurate representation of how most of the people who played the game would genuinely react in a zombie apocalypse. scared and doing their best. i wish he survived and had more development. rip ben

Ben is a very accurate representation of what a lot of teens would do in an apocalypse. They’re puking be the heroes, they’d just be cowards who aren’t aware of the decisions they make

When Ben told Kenny that I knew shit was gonna go down, and we know how much Kenny cared about his family.

You know, Ben reminds me of me, I'd probably be clumsy and make dumb decisions but he's exactly how I look, I'm tall, and got brown hair, just add some glasses, and I saved him here, and I was extremely sad when he died, wish he coulda survived and lived longer. Learned from his mistakes.

My choice was to save Ben, and it was worth it because that conversation in the backyard where Ben went off on Kenny about his family hit hard, he may be dumb but in my opinion he’s a good character

Ben was a character you either loved or hated. Mine was loved. He was SO relatable, because I would do the same thing if I was in his position. Even though he ditched Clem that one time, he's forever in my top 10 WD characters.

Personally seeing Ben again makes me wish he lived. I would personally take him over half the cast of season 2.

It's painful that if you drop Ben he survives his fall but gets eaten by the zombies. It's like instead of a quick and painless death, he get's a injury from the fall, which must have been very painful and then get torn apart by zombies that he couldn't even run away from. He never deserved that kind of death.

Look, Doug was my favorite character, and I let Ben off even after he got him killed, but when he left Clem I told myself the second I could, he was dead, so when that walker grabbed him in the bell tower I didn't move a muscle, I don't care how old he was, Clem grew up more then he did, so yeah, I have no regrets
