Starry Galaxies I’m not bashing on the idea. But she doesn’t learn or develop at all. She could’ve have more a learning experience. They remedied it with Tenn from season 4. But even he lacked that full circle development.
People need to realize that her death wasn't even her fault. It was his dad's fault for treating her like a baby, and the start of the apocalypse gave her really bad PTSD. I actually feel bad for her
Well it wasn’t really her dads fault, Sarah was probably mentally wrong afterall her dad said she would literally cease to function if she was exposed to that world
The saddest thing is that we give sarah so much hate for being a kid and not acting like clementine when clementine was taught to survive from the very start
Exactly. Lee (a guardian/father figure) taught Clementine how to defend herself. Carlos however didn't teach his OWN DAUGHTER to fend for herself and thought it was a good idea to shelter Sarah from the world, even though the world went to complete chaos and anyone can die at any moment. And Sarah clearly had some anxiety issues but instead of helping her cope with it, Carlos keeps her locked away thinking it's more beneficial to her mental state. It would've been cool if the game took the opportunity to have Clem teach more to Sarah about survival.
@@emeraldparadox1001 parents like that don't realize that instead of doing a right thing, which yes it's with good intentions as a parent they're actually doing the opposite. Lee protected clem but also didn't CODDLE HER TO DEATH, which is why Sarah isn't "like Clementine" as Carlos put it. maybe if you were a Lee to Sarah, maybe she would've been like Clementine🤨😒
Idc about Sarah. She lacked the ability to adapt. Clementine was younger & stayed in a tree house for days & knew what was up. Even told Lee before she officially met him that she thought about dropping a hammer on his head. Sarah would never survive that world. Survival of the fittest is a real thing.
she would’ve progressively learnt independently especially when she encountered christa who taught her most of her survival tactics, for e.g preparing food
Feel bad for Sarah in the end.. if Carlos didn’t try shielding her and making her be a naive little girl she probably would’ve survived longer than she did.
@@tgc97 What doctor can't distinguish between a dog bite & a human bite? No real doctor at all. Secondly stating if she doesn't get a fever in the morning. She was bit by a dog in the wilderness & a wound untreated. OF COURSE SHE'D GET A FEVER.
@@davidortiz3094 Dude when I played this two days ago I kept screaming these two same exact things at my screen. ''HOW THE FUCK CAN THE DOCTOR NOT TELL HUMAN TEETH FROM A DOG MAULING?!!!'' I'm no doctor and I could tell within a second of looking at a wound just because I know dogs. And yeah, also the fever. Leaving a vicious laceration inflicted by a starving unkempt dog that had been stuffing its face into corpses and garbage bins for scraps untreated in a festering old dirty sleeve for two days? What the fuck does he expect other than a horrible fever? Best case scenario would've been local infection so bad she got blood poisoning if he'd have left that the way it was. No way that fucker was a doctor.
It depends on every person, regardless of age. There are people how tend to become leaders and actually do things, like clementine, but trust me, most people, most kids, will freak out and get in shock. There are very few people who actually react
Adelmund Yin Sarah: Daddy I can’t go with the people trying to save me! Clem: ... Me screaming at the screen: This is for pointing a gun at Clem, you stupid bitch!
@@sirsmiteful6285 I wasn't dragging anything...I was just responding to your comment with my thoughts. Sorry you felt that way ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ most people just hate Sarah. No need for the ad hominem. (Also I re-worded it, looking back it was admittedly pretty biased)
Did you know that depending on whether you're friends to Sarah or not she responds to Clem in the trailer park differently, same if you're able to convince her and get her more stable.
I've always had conflictual feelings for Sarah. She sometimes got on my nerves, but on the other hand I felt so much pity for her. It wasn't her fault she was the way she was and how isolated, overnurtured she had been until that point. I would say Sarah's death and the dog attacking Clementine were the most shocking parts of the game, at least to me.
Man, now that I’m looking back at this, I realized something that could’ve benefitted the plot of the story: Sarah’s character. I felt the moment she was introduced, Clementine and her could’ve developed a little similar relationship, like Clem and Lee: pupil and mentor. It would’ve been great for Clem’s development in so many ways( if it wasn’t fantastic enough already)! I got sadder with the direction they were heading with Sarah, not for the reasons they tried to provide, but because of the fact that such a GREAT opportunity (beneficial to the story in SO MANY WAYS) was wasted. RIP Sarah. Rest easy with your dad, Carlos :(
I also feel so bad leaving her when I hear her go "Clementine?" It's heartbreaking..she lost her dad and then her friend left her. Even as she's dying you can hear her screaming for her dad and clementine :(
It's not Sarah's fault she died. She was scared and she was sad that her Dad was gone. You would be scared if you were in the apocalypse and if you lost someone you loved you would be sad. So stop saying Sarah is a useless character.
They really made us, as the players, handle this character as gently as possible. She NEEDED that slap, but she was never going to grow up. Carlos did bad parenting in this game
I like the little detail of Sarah looking at Clementine in shock if the Walkers break down the door to the room and kill you before you make a decision I personally would have liked it, where if you saved Sarah here, then instead of dying at the Observation deck, she died during the shootout with the Russians. Would give her character a bit more time on screen, a bit more of an emotional send off and a give a bit more of a reason for Kenny to go off the deep end.
@@mudafucca4420 Because she's a kid and Kenny is very protective of kids as shown with Clem and AJ, plus having an actual death in the group as a result of the gunfight would help build the case for Kenny's degrading mental stability
@@deltahalo241 Very protective of kids? No. Kenny was only very protective of Clem because he recognized her, he knows her. Kenny was very protective of AJ because he's literally a baby. Your argument is completely destroyed when you take Arvo into the argument. Kenny gave no damn and beat the shit out of him. Sure, Arvo was a pos, but he was still a kid. And yet, Kenny didnt care. He also didnt care for Sarah because he literally did not care for her at all. He has never even MENTIONED her at all, and the ONLY interaction he has ever had with Sarah is from this one CUT animation where Kenny proceeds to push Sarah ( Now, I dont know why he would push her, because it was a cut animation for most likely a cut cutscene, so we really dont know why he would push her ).
I really wanted sarah to survive so she and clem could be friends, clem would teach sarah how to survive and they would protect each other, sadly no matter what you do, she still dies
I feel bad for Sarah. Her father kept her sheltered from the world to the point where she couldn't even begin to help herself when it inevitably came crashing down on her. Not everyone can be a survivor, it's why there are so many walkers to begin with but Sarah was only kept alive, never taught to survive
Telltale really was something. We were made to believe that saving Sarah is an important choice and will later affect your chances of survival, but nope. She dies later on due to something falling on her and trapping her. I would’ve actually liked to see some repercussions for leaving Sarah alive. For example, if the player was made to choose between her (who’s just a child) and Jane (who is important to the group), it probably would’ve been a harder choice that’d have lasting impacts on the group dynamic. But of course, anyone who has the chance to die in a telltale game will die regardless of what you pick. What a joke.
Welcome to the point and click adventure game series of TellTale. Where half your decisions lead to the same outcome and whoever you save dies in a later episode.
Sarah is one of my favorite characters from season 2,too bad she had to die, luckily i always manage to save her in this scene but it still sucks that she still dies anyway,in fact when she gets trapped under the rubble of the destroyed observation deck part of me wishes there was an alternate choice to shoot her as a means to end her suffering because if there was such a choice i'd choose it because Sarah doesn't deserve to suffer.
People forget that at the start, clementine survived for 3 days on her own, lost her parents immediately, survived her babysitter turning into a walker, and had someone who taught her what the real world was and how to survive. And she also had friends like duck and Ben who were both kids. While Sarah on the other hand, clearly had her father who only sheltered her and told her barely anything about what was happening. She also didn’t have any friends at all, even when she was in the settlement with carver the way the kids talk about her are exactly like bullies. To Sarah it’s probably a little bit like the corona virus, one day everything was fine and the next everyone had to quarantine! Sarah’s also clearly has a bit of the tism 😅
I still think this character was a big giant missed opportunity. Imagine teaching this Sheltered kid how to survive and watch them grow into a survivor and maybe show up in later seasons.
you can tell that b*tch was spoiled even before the apocalypse, like she acted she was gonna die when her father slapped her. like nigga it's not that deep get the f*ck up
"Clementine?" it broke my heart. it's sad to believe that the weak always lose, it wasn't Sarah's fault for being fearful and not knowing how to protect herself, her father imprisoned him and didn't let him see the reality of how the world was. No kidding, I wish she was alive.
I wish there could have been more with her... Like let her slowly evolve into a good character... But she does nothing for the plot... No matter what you do she'll either die here or die later... I wish she could have survived and just be more than an extra
It hurt me to see a dog in that pain since I have a dog of my own. I obviously put the dog out of its misery. Poor Sam!! Heck his death was more emotional than Carlos' death
Until she killed herself and showed her deep inconsistency, Jane was my favorite character. She’s a smart badass!! The way she read the situation and killed those walkers, was sick 👍
Not so much inconsistancy, you can Tell she is badass but she suffers in the inside. She have the skill tô survive, but lack the Spirit, and been alone only makes her more Sad in real life, so...
Remember Sarah was not allowed to go outside before this even happened. She was ignorant to the fact it was this bad, and her father's to blame. She had to walk through zombies. She witnessed a murderer and because she's been protected from the real world she caught trauma really quick
This mostly Carlos' fault. He completely sheltered her from the reality going on around her. If anything went wrong she would just drop. When you live in a world were the alive and dead are trying to kill you something is bound to go wrong. This was going to happen sooner or later. Carlos was dumb to expect he can keep Sarah completely naive to it all.
Sarah’s a good girl but she’s been given extremely poor treatment from her father when the world around her suddenly decided that all she can have is horrible treatment. I don’t blame her for being useless, I blame Carlos for making her useless, especially when death is gonna come for everything and everyone regardless of how or when it happens. That’s just life and Carlos refused to teach her that and how to handle it.
Sarah has some kind of a severe anxiety disorder, causing her to overreact and shut down when overwhelmed or in certain situations. I actually really liked Sarah. I feel like if her dad hadn’t of been as over protective from such a young age, she wouldn’t be as bad as she is now.
I believe that had Sarah lived in both scenarios that she could've continued on with Clementine and between learning things from Clementine and experiencing what the world is really like, she could've redeemed herself and became an OG badass like Clem.
When sarah said clamentine...... sarah thought clametine will not leave her,but it was too late That was the worst part and the saddest part and it make me cry😢😢😢
If Carlos did a better job teaching her about survival, she could have survived. I think that’s the most tragic part. Carlos thought he was doing the right thing, but he got his own daughter killed. I genuinely liked Sarah. She was unprepared, sure, but it’s understandably not her fault. Anyone would give up if they lost enough, especially after being so used to being sheltered, and protected from the real world. Her death wasn’t a result of her incompetence, but her fathers mistakes.
