I don't know how to express my thanks for your contribution that nails my ideal sound in my head. This is the sound that has reverberated in my skull forever, but lacked the equipment and skills to reproduce THAT SOUND!
Adfininium, I'm dissecting your vidio in minute detail as your equipment and playing technique has left me both speechless and in awe of your ability. I've been playing around with Seymour Duncan's P-rails and a SD hot rails in the middle position, but until your video, I was overlooking the seemingly obvious solutions. In this vidio you nailed the obvious that had escaped me, and I'm able to sleep nights having been shown the way to translate what I hear in my head into what I hear in my head. Lack the words to express what I feel when I hear you play other than it is OUTSTANDING!!! Thank you!. -E-
Nice guitar! I just bought the same pickups and going to do the same switching system. Just a question, all options that you have are in paralel? I know that it's also possible to use the PRails in series configurations. Great sound!
I know Vox Humana and they built great instruments but pause the video at 0:55 and look athe 17th fret dot. It seems like they drilled out the hole too large and there is a gap between the wood and inlay. Does it just look like that in the video or? Because on an expensive custom like this you would expect them to get over details like that. Not hating, just asking since I want to bring my guitar there for a setup aswell.
Wow, I am floored by this guitar, but I wonder if they are available where I live (United States). JJ, do you know if Vox Humana have any US (ideally Southern California) dealers? Thanks so much!
wow, beautiful guitar! good sounding too! i have a question: the middle position on your guitar..how are the 2 pickups wired in relation to each other? parallel or series? cheers!
I wonder how the P-rails and the Vox COAXE pickups compare to one another? Seem that though they both trying to achieve the same thing. I wonder if the P-rails is the reason Vox discontinue that model. I really liked the COAXE from what I've heard
Hey man, great video ! I was wondering if you had a wiring diagram of the setup you're using... I currently have triple shots but I find them ugly as hell and I was thinking about using two switches as well... Thank you ..
Hmm, interesting pickups. So would a P90 with an extra Single coil cancel out some extra hum. I mean I would think it might be getting close to being a bucker with different parents so to speak. Ah, I think you just answer my question. Interesting. I like it. I am guessing they are a spendy piece, eh? Great sounding. Thanks!
Those who claims that it sounds like a lespaul are deaf...pls listen carefully, truly the p/up contributes fatness to the sound but still it lacks of fatness as lespaul should...just me..
