14:58 She has 11 not 8... so she needs 5 not 8!
18:02 It should be 2 Pepper and 1 coin... that's what corresponds to the 3 die she placed!
18:15 Except for the Free Action of Spending 3 camels to get 1 Black die... that one can only be done once per turn
19:02 No... That would be insanely powerful if it worked like that... For the Completed Contracts Card (the one on the board) and the one about Trading Houses on the board, this means that the value of the die you put on the card is the number of Contracts (Trade Houses) you are scoring.
Ex: If you have completed 7 contracts and use a die of value 4 on that card you would score 4 Points... 1 for each contract up to 4 you have completed...
If it worked like Richard was saying you would score 7 contracts 4 times that being 28 points!!!
19:51 Yes it is because she has 11 bucks, not 8!!!
21:54 Not only every round... she should have made $5 immediately when she sets up her Trading House!
25:10 I think he meant to say 4 more rounds because the game length is 5 rounds!

Oh holy cow, this looks fun. Dice placement, historical setting, camels, makers of Tzolkin. This went top of my to-buy list after two minutes of this video. Another much appreciated runthrough!

The board is very whimsical, I love hearing all the Silk Road, historical city names. Everything about this game visually is excellent.

Some differences to how i learned the game. So i would like to check... A) you may use a lower movement number than dice you place. So for the two 4s you can pay and use them as if they were 3s. B) activating the city with the solved contract bonus limits you to how many contracts you have and the dice placed (whichever is lower). So no multiplication. You shoul get one point only in this turn.

atog28 a) yup, that's true, and i thought for sure i had demonstrated that several times in the video (placing high value dice but then only moving low distances) b) yes i totally had that wrong. you can see in the show notes or with annotations on :)

20:15 Jen could also have used her two 2 dice to get 2 silk, and then fulfilled her contract for +5 money, giving her 16 money total, and an extra unused die vs using 3 for money.

Question regarding the activation of town tile you mentioned around the 27min mark. I think if you use a dice showing five you would still only get 1vp because you only have one completed contract. This would be broken if you had six completed contracts and used a 6 on it every round for 36points.

Oh and C) in the 4 player game you may only place one die of a color in the camel bar to the lower left corner. Maybe that you have two dice here is because of a two player game.

You picked 3 spices which is what you get for a dice with a 4 not for a dice with a 3 (which is what you played)

I think it's best (if you have time) to remake the video as it has a lot of rule issues. cheers!

+Markos Evlogimenos i don't remotely have time. plus, most of the errors are simple math ones, and the one real rule mistake is clearly annotated and is a very commonly made mistake as well, so pointing it out in the video probably helps others avoid it. plus, it doesn't impact the sole purpose of this video: demonstrating what the game plays like :)
