Thanks for all the detailed reviews, just goes to show never judge a video by its view count. Hope you keep making them because I've found them well made and informative, which will definitely help me make my decision when it comes time to buy.
It would be nice if Virpil would sell me the shit. If it’s “out of stock” you can’t put it in your cart and apparently they don’t answer emails. Ready to roll over here.
Hello! I looked at your review (VPC Desk Mount) and noticed that you have a black frame also attached to the desk. Isn't this a V-slot aluminum profile? If so, could you tell me what model it is? I mean, what is its thickness and width? And also what kind of quick-realese toggle did you use that can be screwed to this aluminum frame? I mean dimensions? Would you provide a link to these products? Regards!!
Awesomeness hands down. This is a great Tech Channel. Looking to get into *(Space Simulator, & Elite Dangerous). Will you do any review's of *(Gaming Cockpit). I'm looking to turn my whole room. Into a STAR WARS Spaceship looking room. Thank you for posting this video. You have a new subscriber..
I would actually like to see a Virpil (or Foxx Mounts) make a cable management raceway that mounts to the back of the desk. Why? 1. Everyone makes the raceway so damn narrow that you can only fit cables in it. Got a monitor or speaker-amplifier power brick you want to hide out of view? No can do. 2. Nobody apparently thought that maybe you may want to change the area your desk is facing. Got a scratch or wood chip on the front side of your desk?..if only you hadn't glued or nailed a raceway to the back of your desk.
Could someone tell me what the distance is between the edge of the round screw part on the bottom to the edge of the frame? My desk has a lip of 1.265" and not sure if this will fit my desk. Thanks!!!!!!!!!
Snake my mongoos t50 cm2 came in yesterday but the hat with the rotary dail cant look up or right, and the throttles still have play after calibrating. They jump up and down 3 points in software. I reached out to virpil but nothing yet what should i do, Hurry up and wait?
ooh, the sub-mounts for the tablet/panels/mfd are gonna be good. But i don't think all should be attached directly, rather on the sides of a mount so the accessories should be "arms" (yeah sorry the VPC forums do already show plans for side attached tablets). also i was wondering how does a tablet show the map screen or the elevation (the blue and orange uuh thing) when running i.e x-plane? 0:02 a clamp, it's a clamp! 0:22 Haha! Next time i see snakes on NatGeo attacking some, i'm gonna believe they go: Dugh!!
Any idea where i can get the specs on this unit? i don't see dimensions and clamp depth on Virpil's site. For example, my desk has a custom curved edge and a kind of stair step down from that curvature and so I need the exact measurements. I know Foxx can do custom dimensions so I might have to look into that, but I also know they are very expensive comparatively. thanks in advance man!
the long mount looks a little short to work with the long extension Virpil sell, i have seen you with the long curved extension in another video, is it to tall for this mount?
I am wondering what the measurement is from the tabletop to the lowest mounting hole on the desk mounts is. Trying to decide if I need the long one or short one for my throttle.
I had to come to youtube to figure out which mount I needed. Not sure why they don't have a recommended accessories for the products when you are browsing
What do you think about how far away from the desk/monitor the center long version (w/ T-50CM2 Base) puts you? I noticed at 1:05 you were flying and seemed to be fairly far away from both the joystick and the screen compared to other mounted set ups ive seen.... Were you seated back in your seat all the way or were you leaning forward?
Diversion to mounts look like they angle away from the desk unlike version 1. Can you advise how much distance they Angela way for the short and long versions?
I can tell you that they angle away quite a bit. From the edge of the desk to the start of the WarBRD base is exactly 8 inches. If the T50-cm2 is all the way forward, there is still 2 1/2 inches of clearance before you would hit the bracket, so there would have been room to move these forward but the bracket doesn't allow it to go forward any more.
