VR6 Injector Removal - How to DIY Golf Jetta Corrado 2.8L Audi VW AAA

This video shows how to remove the injector rail and injectors on a 12v AAA MKIII VR6 (1991-1999.5). There are small differences with the 12v and 24v MKIV VR6 (1999.5 +) but unless someone gives me one, I can't make a specific video ;)
These are the steps that you need to do to get to this point:
1. Place the front lock carrier in a service configuration: • VW MKIII Service Posit...
2. Remove upper intake maifold: • VR6 Valve Cover Gasket... .
3. Relieve residual fuel pressure by removing the fuel pump fuse and running the car until it dies. This will remove most of the fuel pressure.
Should be the same procedure for all VR6 MK3 Volkswagens (Golf, Jetta, Corrado, Passat, Eurovan, Audi, Polo, Cabriolet, Bora, Vento, Typ 1H A3, etc.)

i tested my fuel injectors and the cyclinder 3 that i was getting my code from the injector was 10ohms and all the others were 15ohms so i think that should be the issue! I could not have done it without your videos! THANKS

I own a 99.5 golf gti vr6 12v. Is it totally different working on the injectors then the 24v this will be my first attempt.

How can I check for leaks BEFORE putting the manifold back on etc? Is it possible to install the fuel rail with the injectors in the head?

I have been meaning to upload a quick video of how to clean them but you basically soak them in Seafoam and actuate on briefly with 12v. You also should replace the consumables (o-rings, cups etc.). I got a new fuel injector online and it looks like the top hole is blocked. idk if it is supposed to be like that?

It is working good now i am not getting any codes after putting the new fuel injector in! The car is still running a little rough still for some reason. The only thing i havent replaced is the wires, do you think if the wires are not great it will cause the car also to run rough? Thanks for videos and suggestions!

mikeyd19841 The best thing to is to test the wires out with a multimeter and to do a visual inspection.
