Hay Jamie i was wondering have u ever used the leap motion hand tracking with both the kinect and walk ovr in vrchat. If not do u know any one. Im trying to see if they will work all at once to provide full body tracking, hand controls and the ablilty to walk, run, and jump in vr for a good cheap alternative to kat vr c tread mill and valve knuncles and could be used with a wired headset with no problems. Im trying to get the best vr experience with wired hp reverb g2 to avoid the quest like the plague lol. Plus tp cast wireless connection to the headset could also make it wireless, sure u have wires on your body but with good cable management it would be still be better than the quest, to avoid Facebook's b.s
I had a leap motion back with my oculus development kit 2. The downside to it is latency. The hand tracking lags behind slightly, and this pulls you from the immersion a bit. Controllers are much more accurate that way As for kinect, not only is the tracking inaccurate, but the lag is real. Where as other things you usually just feel the latency, with kinect you can visibly see the difference in how slowly it tracks.
@@JamieVatarga damn, well i know the hp reverb g2 has inside out tracking like the quest, so does that mean it has full body tracking like quest does? And if so then that gets read of the kinect problem, but as far as leap goes its still better having to set up light house tracking and software to use the valve knucles with the g2, and i that also free's up some room to use the walk ovr kit as a controller imput for walking, running and jumping, which i think should work fine since it would be basiclly the same as using an xbox controller just without buttons and the only other thing is if the works, could tp cast work with mixed reality headsets like the g2 without light house since the g2 has inside out tracking. I know my questions are kinda a mess but im trying to get the ultimate experience for a price i can afford and in turn help every one else trying to do the same, with out having to sell your soul to the devil named facebook.
