It's actually pretty sad when you realize that alt-Copen loved his alt-Lola (aka Mother) so much he, after failing his mission and literally DYING, he couldn't move on to the afterlife before guiding his alternate self towards saving her.
I love how both Xtreme Beyond(Ypsilon/The Creator's theme) and Lost Luminous(this ost's name) resembled their original theme and yet so different. Xtreme Beyond has some resemblance from Copen's boss theme from ASG1 and 2, but here it so different because Ypsilon is created to be a substitute for The Creator and as Mother Computer's combat partner. But Ypsilon is not The Creator, he may resembles him but he'll never be like his original, and Xtreme Beyond symbolizes that. Lost Luminous however is pretty much a version of Igniter but without the lyrics. This reflects the feelings of AltLola/Mother Computer being incomplete without her AltCopen/The Creator. So much so that she tried to replace him by creating a copy of him just to substitute his existence with her.
I was halfway through the boss fight before I realized the music playing was Igniter.🤣🤣 The sound effects of the battle drowned it out til I finally heard the chorus part and went "Is that IGNITER?!"
It's so weird without the lyrics, it has this air of finality and sadness. I can still place them exactly on the song tho, but it is pretty much replaced by the electric guita- Wait. The song feels incomplete and a part is replaced... Just like how Mother feels incomplete and depressed without The Creator and tried to replace him with Ypsilon... Holy shit.
Not to mention her fighting style are modified or incomplete versions of the things Copen used. Attack Code Shred is Strike Saw, just without her companion by her side. Instinct Code Downpour is Stellar Spark but without direction.
@@Konh-Minh OH i didn't notice that with Downpour! It's like a decayed version of stellar spark... it's got the lighting and the defence reducing effect could be a reference to the tag system or more symbolism of Mother's sadness.
@@Konh-Minh Actually Attack Code S.H.R.E.D. is a reference to S.H.R.E.D Storm from ASGV2 which was the ultimate for Copen in that game. Just as Mothers eyes are purple to represent that he used Asimov's DNA to make Lola's Stellar Spark in ASGV 2 where as Lola in IX has blue eyes because GUnvolts DNA was used since Asimov killed GV.
or instead of in the normal mode instead of ypsilon dying after destroying the teleporter we fight him again and its just like gv 2 where after you beat him once he gets anthem used on him then in the true ending for hard mode you just fight mother instead
This boss is seriously in contention to dethrone Anthem Copen as my favorite Gunvolt boss. However, I will reserve final judgment until I get through her Hard Mode equivalent...and the rest of Hard Mode, for that matter. EDIT: Nnnnot quite. But she's still _really_ damn close.
Copen: The muses sing for me and me alone. Her songs are too good for the likes of you adept. Not exactly word per word but that hit me hard when I was fighting copen.
@@Chromakaze some Dude on 4chan posted a link to the files and then people shared it, he probably made some software to extract it cuz music files use some custom codec, that's all i know
@@RealXon I know it's been a year since this was uploaded, but I'd like to ask: do you still have that link? If so, could you tell me your (current) username so I can actually get it? Many thanks.
This fight were certainly a healthy challenge on Hard mode without the assist feature. None of the attacks are too overwhelming since she'll only throw out one pattern at a time and doesn't move around, but you really have to be perfect given how much of an endurance test this fight is. It's a good thing that you can freely practice your execution against the normal mode version beforehand to get a general idea of how to treat every attack on a base level to lessen the grind when tackling the harder version.
@@yassinefarah2423 much like Iconoclasts agent Black and Fitzroy. Being Immortal, their mind can't keep up with their body as they live over hundred year. Their mind begin to falling and drive them insane, should they can keep their mind stable as long they live. Their body will become like zombie appearance
@@yassinefarah2423 The workers taking human like apperances and acting human was just the icing on the shit cake for her as well! Also to the Forgetting Copen appearance, I don't think she did! But his cybernetics may have made her think he was a worker taking his appearance (which as I stated was a HUGE berserk button already for her that they "dared" to look and act like the humans she was suppose to bring back! Finding one that dared to take her creators appearance when she's in the state she's in would be HULK levels of rage!) she was single-minded in taking Kohaku body for the sake of confusing her safety protocols into giving her "permission to murder-suicide everything in that dimension's Earth!" In the bad ending though, I'm thinking fusing with Kohaku allowed her to go through her memories along with calming her down abit! So she realized LA Copen was Copen with cybernetics then a "rogue worker pretending to be him," (the comment in the bad ending from LA Lola noting Kohaku change in behavior) mixed with being in a world where humanity is still alive (though largely Adept than Minos Humans! But still enough to be a stable population so her "failure" that plagued her for SO FUCKING LONG is at least mitigated to no longer an issue). She pretty much got what she wanted! Being around the lab is just her way to be around Copen as much as possible (hence the Yandere vibes Kohaku-MOTHER/Lola gives off, if parts of Kohaku are still there! I'm guessing the parts of her loving Copen were combined with Mother/Lola who would ALREADY be unhealthily attached to her creator! Hence become VERY yandere to Copen) she has no more reason to be murder-suicide anymore and got everything she wanted...though at the cost of Kohaku losing her individuality to become a hybrid of herself and Alt Lola with Alt Lola having the larger among of presence!
