michael is the only person who could get his arm off and instead of screaming in pain he would calmly explain how his nerves are sending signals to his brain telling him hes in trouble
Sometimes I wonder how humans survived for all these years. Children as well, they are so suicidal, they don't think, it's a wonder we ain't extinct yet... I have a feeling that my comment won't age that well...
everyone except sean: dying on the show after eating that wing sean: I have the biggest question ready for you vsauce: I need to meditate on this pain for a little bit
Liyah they have done it while they were on the road, interview people in their areas. There was an interview where Sean was talking about it, and when in town he said he needed to find places that would make the wings. that is if I am recalling it all correctly. So for Vsauce he would do the interview there, put up some black curtains etc...
Seems more like a pop scientist than an actual scientist. This is a thoroughly unscientific test and I'm not really sure his explanations consider all the factors. That rules him out, sorry.
I'd have been more interested to see how well the 'dessert' worked without the shampoo. Michael used the shampoo by itself afterwards, but we never got to compare the two.
Man I gotta say, it's cool how you get celebrities and stuff on your show but it's a treat when you have other high end RU-vid creators on. Just feels so right
This! Yes!! I agree completely he needs to be on the show, I feel like he hasn't been on the show because he isn't super popular like everyone who has been on the show so far. 💯
So after this Sean crossed the road and visited Corridor Digital? It'd be an insane missed opportunity if this didn't happen. Or travel a few miles down and visit Adam Savage.
"Peak physical performance"... you know they're eating wings and hot sauce, right? They performed well, but there's not much physical about what they're doing. I doubt you ever ate wings in PE class.
Psuffix what the hell are you talking about chewing takes a lot of physical effort. This totally serious, not a joke at all comment was 130% absolutely almost completely scientifically correct. Read a science book geeze!
Danny Hamiti Ah nevermind. I see how Michael got confused. Alcohol in it's purest state is polar but the carbon chains allow the molecules go become non-polar. Kind of a hard thing to know on the spot. The only reason I found out was the internet lmao.
I always wanted Michael on Hot Ones and until today I didn't realized he'd kinda been already! But I'd still love to see Adam Savage on Hot Ones though.
My big brother once rubbed his eyes after handling some too-hot pepper I'd diced in my kitchen. I told him to let me dribble whole milk into his eyes, and he said no because it sounded retarded. He tried water despite my pleas not to, and after pacing around my kitchen unable to think of a solution, he finally slumped down onto the floor against my counter and said "I give up, just do it". I used a spoon to ladle whole milk onto his eyeballs, and he felt immediate relief, then allowing me to place a folded rag soaked in milk across his eyes. He just kind of sat there for a while, laughing and cussing about how stupid the whole scenario was.
Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm-Flailing Tubeman! Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm-Flailing Tubeman! Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm-Flailing Tubeman! Hi I'm Al Harrington, president and CEO of Al Harrington's Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm-Flailing Tubeman emporium and warehouse!
Hahahahahahahahahahah so funny lol that's just great you just said the guest on the show's intro isn't that just funny. Give him likes man hilarious I've never laughed harder in my life
Tyler -That is in no way correct. Well I guess it is a poison, but aside from that. Ethanol (or Ethyl Alcohol if you don't want to use it's common contraction) is the type of alcohol we consume quite intentionally as the byproduct of fermentation in all alcoholic beverages. Your body processes it in the liver and elsewhere because it is a poison, and it's broken down into some other pretty toxic shit before becoming benign. It does cause your body to release held water as well along with some electrolytes because of the interaction with the pituitary gland which regulates the balance of water and salts in your tissues. It doesn't have any effect on your carbs or protein. Sweat is not urine. The mechanisms of a hangover are complex and not entirely understood. Some of it is believed to be dehydration and electrolyte imbalance.
My boyfriend and I have done Hot Ones at home 3 times with Season 10 sauces and we have found the magic solution to neutralize capsaicin. We mix a little melted coconut oil and MCT oil in a glass and take a healthy shot before eating anything and save some oil for the main event. We have found that it coats the stomach and lessens the “booty burn” the next day and lessens any possible stomach pain. Take a little sip of the oil when things get too hot. Another favorite side kick is Jameson with a little lemonade. We love you Sean and Hot Ones!!! Can’t wait to see the new episodes!!!
This fraud is not a food scientist. He doesn't even seem to be a scientist. He doesn't pronounce the words properly He seems like a magazine-reader scientist wannabe. Do not put baby shampoo in your mouth, if you swallow it, prepare to spend the evening on the toilet.
"I can definitely feel the psychoactive effects of the shrooms kicking in. I do believe that I'm starting to hallucinate, this is quite fascinating, actually."
he means unlikely to be interview since he was just featured in something else. not sure though, we may double-dose it. we've had a couple cook-off eps that have been interviewed too....
@Menthols Ironically the last dab is one of the more mild heat wise compared to the other finals. Da bomb is way more intense heat wise, tastes awful aswell.
organic chemist here, so want to address some slight misinformation in this episode. First off, capsaicin is not basic/alkaline, so acid won't work. Capsaicin has an amIDE group, not an amINE group. If it had an amine group, it'd be basic and would form a water-soluble salt. Amides aren't nearly as basic and only react with concentrated strong acids. It can, however, help by solubilizing or complexating the capsacin with some substances in the citric juice. Secondly, since I have actually extracted pure capsaicin myself, I roughly know how it dissolves in different solvents. Pure alcohol (ethanol) dissolves it well, but 50% ethanol doesn't dissolve it nearly as well. What's worse is that ethanol itself activates the same vanilloid receptors (that's why liquor "burns"), so it will only increase the burning sensation - and that's what we observed in the video.
Sean Evans and Michael Stevens are 2 of the finest people to have an entertaining sit down. I really hope you guys can collab more! I can watch either of your shows for an entire day without being worn out xD
