Try Italian Ricotta Bake - small tub of ricotta mixed with an egg and Parmesan cheese and Italian seasonings. Place in bottom of 9x9 pan. You can put roasted soft veggies in next layer - I did eggplant and mushrooms. Then sugar free sauce and top with mozzarella cheese. Bake at 450 for 30 minutes. Basically lasagna without noodles. It’s excellent and has 12 grams of protein for 1/2 cup.
YES! I love Ricotta Bake! I found a really simple recipe for some that you bake into ramekins. I did that this week too. Forgot to mention that. But soooo yummy! I need to try the recipe you recommended- sounds good! :)
Awww, happy birthday to your daughter!! That does sound like a yummy treat! Frozen cool whip is always good by itself too! I have been loving my sugar free popsicles too! :)
Happy belated birthday!! Im 31 too so it really is so cool to watch ur journey!! I wondered if the reflux would start :-/ so this is super personal but im afraid the surgery will make me have consistent gas and stinky farts. Lol. Have u experienced this as a new normal at all? Bariatric patients complain about it on the online forums so im afraid of that lol. I know its hard to see weightloss in ourselves but i can totally tell uve lost a good bit of weight!:)
Regina R Thank you! So the silent reflux hasn’t been terrible. The prilosec definitely helped. I’ve even had chili this week! Oh emmm geee the gas. The constant gas. I may address that in my 4 week update I film and post tomorrow. But yes it is pretty constant. It has slowed down a bit this week thankfully but some nights it seriously woke me up. Luckily not really stinky but just constant! Lol
@@meganlewallen8121 ohhh and idk if ur keeping a journal of pictures since u obviously will have vids of ur progress but i took my preop photos this weekend and put them in a binder with stats and motivating quotes. Im gonna do this monthly as a hobby and motivator for myself. Id recommend doing it for urself too so u can easily flip through the pages of ur journey:)
I keep forgetting the calcium citrate because I can’t take it with my iron supplement so I have to remember to take it late morning and night. But the multivitamin has been okay. And my B-complex has been doable.
So I have PCOS and am used to erratic periods. They had been normal (without birth control and with Metformin) until a few months ago and then all the sudden I had a period that lasted a month and required medication to make it stop and then another that lasted 2 weeks and required more meds to make it stop so I began birth control to regulate them again. They were normal up until surgery and then got crazy again. I have had three separate periods in the past 5 weeks which is super annoying and draining. I am hoping my hormone levels equal out soon so that this madness stops.
