2005 yamaha vstar 650 classic. Lots of chrome; vance and hines short shots, Corbin Hollywood solo seat, integrated taillight and turn signals, lay down license plate holder. Metzler www tires.
I just bought a 2005 V-Star 650 Classic. Exact same colour. I'd like to think that one day it would look as nice as this. Thanks for including the name of the websites you got your parts from. You did a great job with it.
Nice bike! I picked up a 03 VStar 650 Classic that's in perfect condition looking for some ideas on fixing i up and just found it!! The White Walls are must!! Sets the bike off!!
The white walls are the same size front and rear? because i am trying to find a set for my xvs 650 and the front set I found are 2.5 cm wide and I think looks too narrow with the rear once 4.8cm wide.Yours are the same size front and rear cos it looks great. Thanks
The back tire is just a bit wider. Not much; check out Pacific coast star on the web they show the actual size. They are made by Metzler they are a the wide white walls.
11ricroc11, this is one of the most beautiful v starts I've ever seen. I mean I fell in love with her man! If you ever want to sell it, let me know. God bless and Keep riding brother
11ricroc11 quick question for you if you wouldn't mind answering, I see that the rear seat has been removed, but if the rear seat was still on the bike,, would it ride with 2 people with the lowering kit? Or would it be close to bottoming out the rear shock? Also, did the lowering kit make the rear ride stiffer at all? I have the same bike and ride w/ the girlfriend alot, but i want to lower the bike because it looks Sweet!! Thanks.
Nice! Thank you for the reply. I will be ordering a kit for mine. I still can't get over what a nice looking bike that is, You did a great job. Thanks again.
i've been looking for an integrated taillight, some identical or similar to what you have installed? can you point me in the right direction?? please :) -- i really do not want to drill any new holes in the fender and am curious if your after-market tail light and license plate holder utilized the same holes or if they required new ones??
Is that an aftermarket exhaust or did you cut your factory exhaust down to slash Cuts before the mufflers I've got the same bike and I really like that exhaust if you bought it somewhere let me know where I'd like to get it thanks man. Nice bike
any chance you tell me which one specifically? please. i went to the sight but there are many options - i actually really really like the one you installed! thank you!
I want to have a seatless rear fender for daily use like you have, but a seat for when i want to take a passenger, is it possible to use te same fender and yust place te seat on it or do i have to have 2 fenders?
hi, your bike is amazing, i would like info on the tail light and rego plate setup. what is the make of the rego plate design as i would like to buy it for my vstar 650 classic, im in melbourne australia
Thanks brother. I got the tail light from a website clearalternives.com It has the turn signals integrated in the light. Visor on light is made by show chrome accessories and the plate holder is made by kuryakyn. Its a lay down license plate holder. Got those from cruisercustomizing.com Hope that helps.
Hey man nice bike,, just bought this bike looking to do some work to it,, first thing i wanna do is change my seat,, i love that corbin seat you got but cant seem to find that exact seat to buy it,, do you have an exact link on where you bought your seat ??
I'm not sure if they make it anymore, the website doesn't show it. corbin.com That's where I got it. Contact them. It's called Hollywood Solo for 650 classic.
thanks for responding... what kit did you fit for lowering? or did you cut the springs? if so, did the lowered rear have any effect on the engine with the change of angle? only asking because I'm planning to do it on mine... thanks again
trickznmix I got a lowering kit with a progressive rear spring from pacific coast star. They do after market parts for Yamaha. No change with the engine.
Mine is a black and white Canada Custom...... You can't beat the 'Classics' ;} Could you answer: - did those short chops make a big diff?......We are making all of 33 hp and 40 mpg, the stock intake/ exhaust strangles the engine so much..... - TIRES!...WTF did you find those ? The big Cruiser guys hate the stock Dunlops...but they last forever on the 650 frame etc. helluva good tire.......but, please send me yours........... -Stock intake? gimme your e-mail and I'll show you a real custom job.. thx: CS
Thanks felt a little more power. I also added the Kuryakyn Hypercharger since this video felt more Horsepower with that after I rejetted the carburetor. Not much difference on mpg.The tires are really good. They are made by metzler.
michael jacquot I got it from pacific coast star. Thats the website. They do a lot of parts for Yamaha motorcycles. Got the lowering kit from there and progressive rear spring.
Carb jet is too small for amount of air coming in. Mix of gas and air not optimal. Lean means not enough gas vs air go to that cylinder. Our bike was same way even after they jetted and added big air intake. Size up 1 or 2 sizes. More likely 2 sizes up. 1 size = 2.5
Throttle should be quick to respond but not snappy. Adding fuel will fatten mix. And throttle response will be slower. Too slow , bog, means jet too big.
