IIRC they said the cancellations were for safety reasons, not poor sales. Makes sense considering Niji fans were literally threatening to bring weapons for "self-defense" because Dokibird got a booth right across from theirs.

@@dandykong321this is misinformation, Niji didn't give any official reason, however given that less than 20% of tickets were sold I'd say that is the likely reason. If safety was a concern they would have cancelled their booths which anyone wanting to harass wouldn't have to buy an extra ticket to do so.

@@thetrueone8252 To be fair, considering she was apprently already on leave for three months due to these "family health reasons" (as i believe it was phrased) until now, i assume it's more a long term thing, like elderly parents or grandparents she needs to /wants to take care of in their last few years. So while it's certainly possible that she'll return one day, i wouldn't bet on that happening within the next three years or so.

It's more likely a family member that she has to take care of due to been the only one close by. The way the girls talk about it also hints that it's not a-chan disappearing forever as they have contact with her in one way or form.

Not to defend Niji but I think it’s because the sponsorship is actually with the Japanese brand responsible for nba merch in Japan not actually nba so they can’t ship it anywhere else

Bonus Doki Factoid: She has new background music to go with the new model. She paid an orchestra to record it, an actual full orchestra. I don't think any streamer has previously done this.

i never saw much of her(if i see any V-tuber stuff it's the clips so however much she is in) but ironicly she was on a personal level one of the most inspireing ones. because she wasn't an idol(or entertainer or whatever else the talents are) she wasn't someone out here living her dream. no she was the one supporting someone who had a dream making that dream reality. and as someone who can't really identify with these big dreams myself at least i can aspire to that: find someone i care about and help them achive their dream.

@@shadowslime3640 Sure, but what I said was about being a fan of Nijisanji the company, that would include trying to defend them online when they're called out for obvious BS, harassing Vtubers that speak out against Niji, or even still collectively supporting the company as a whole even after the various instances of malicious behavior that people know about. Being a fan of the individual Vtuber is whatever, but there's legitimately people that are diehard zealots for Nijisanji and take issue with any criticism against the company, those are the people I'm referring to.

Said it on the stream but an interesting detail of the Kizuna AI situation I haven't seen many bring up that I've not seen anyone bring up, the original voice for her, Kasuga Nozomi, did retweet the Dream video, the stream, and the tweet from the the producer confirming the return, so she is at least in the know as to what's going on, if not involved directly.

"Exploded" is a bit of poetic exaggeration, but it did seemingly rupture, and it was a life-threatening situation, with the main risk being damage to surrounding organs from the leaking enzymes. The specific cause isn't known, and it's one of those things that might not have one. Prognosis is probably good, but to my knowledge, she didn't share details about whether she'll need to make lifestyle changes. She didn't seem worried about it.

i think the niji concerts for anime expo were cancelled because many antis were threatening to harass (physically and other) niji fans that were attending the concert. however, the concerts were streamed for free on youtube on the official nijien channel and are also archived :33

It will. The initial batch of merch is exclusive to Japan only due to rules. It seems that later batches can ship worldwide. Niji was clear as mud about all of this, so it is a screw up. It's just not quite as bad of a screw up as it seems on the surface.
