The price they're charging at niji for a glorified karaoke is genuinely an insult to the fans. Millie's model needed to turn on vsync because that thing was screen tearing like mad. She's not going anywhere. She's moving side to side. They handed Millie's name those L's on purpose 💀
Meanwhile Hololive charge 60 dollars on actual good concert events. Heck sometimes slash the price in half if they feel generous they do that for some concerts.
Not just a room, it's the Rod Laver Arena. One of the stadiums where the Australian Open are held every year. They didn't use the entire stadium but still a pretty good turnout considering the concert itslef is tucked inside an e-sports/game convention.
The Niji event looked like it was just a stream projected onto a screen. Like you were going to the cinemas to watch a live stream. Whereas Hololive's concert is an actual concert.
it's just the en branch actually. the jp branch always goes over and beyond, all with their 3d models, sometimes even changing outfits, interacting with the crowd, fan service, etc etc. in fact, kuzuha had a sold out solo concert. en branch (and enikara's greed) is truly the downfall of nijisanji.
Bro has million dollar at disposal from selling stock and none of that goes to hiring good staff instead they hire student + Elira to manage everyone 💀 Elira low key also victim of the system
There are high school students who are there in line with quality, and nijisanji hired below average high school students to be their staff with below avergae minimum wage truly a sinking yacht

4th quarter ends at the end of April. It covers all the controversies that have happened and the report comes out in June and the shareholders have a meeting in July. It’s extremely likely that after that there won’t be a NijiEn branch anymore.
@@SithLadyLumiyabro, the problem is that last quarter already so f*ed up. I mean 40% revenue drop compared to same quarter last year!!!?? that's a disgrace
For me, who only watched the free version, it was when the crowd began shouting "SANA" over and over again. Call me emotional, but dayum, she really left an imprint on everyone.
The hall was filled, the crowd was all HoloFans, the energy was off the charts, people were saying it was basically like another Fes concert, and of course, all the HoloMerch being shown by the fans, who are clearly stoked to be there. DreamHack even questioned if this should be an ongoing tradition for them, simply due to how big of a splash Hololive made. I can foresee another concert at another DreamHack soon.
Performing for an empty audience must be one of the worst feelings. Many years ago I organized a fundraiser concert with just me and a few friends performing and I'm pretty sure I had more people in the audience than this. I hope for the perfomers' sake they weren't told/didn't know the venue was empty until after the performance was over.
@@Eiji475 Not even the movies; movies have actual production value and usually years of work. Niji 'concerts' seem like 30 minutes of editing by an under-grad and a couple hours recording karaoke at home.
Niji EN still hasn't addressed their controversies. People assume all the rumors are true, and no one has defended themselves or clarified anything. How could anyone care at this point.
normally, the best thing for a company to do IS to ignore controversies. You ride out the wave of outrage until it dies down and people move on to a new outrage. Niji's problem, though, is they keep getting more and more controversies and so none of them have a chance to die down.

The way Yagoo seems to truly care about his employees (not just the talents but everyone in their company) is truly something special. He’s got a skill and a passion that some other ceo seems to be lacking.
you could easily see that when Nijisanji's president did that apology video, he could not have looked less sympathetic or concerned, and just looked moody/annoyed that he had to do it to save some part of the company's reputation
Exactly, Yagoo is a smart man. He probably wants to only work with people who he genuinely likes and is good for his company then does his job like a normal boss behind the scenes I really don’t understand why Riku is this dense and greedy man

Hololive ran a mini concert and AniRevo in Vancouver, and they featured Moona and Risu basically doing a Karaoke like they were in an off collab, and the room was fucking filled to the brim! I had to sit all the way to the side, but god damn the energy in the room was insane. It was such a great concert, way better than what Niji had, even though the production value was way lower. Also, the stuff they put together for the concert wasn't actually half bad. Hell, they had cameras up for Moona and Risu, and they were doing attendee highlight cams, and people started doing Honkai Star Rail pulls lol. Moona and Risu were laughing about it when they came on. The Q&A session with Ina and Fauna was also jam packed and really fun. Lots of fans showed up in costumes (one guy was a full bodysuit Takodachi) and everyone had a blast chatting with Fauna and Ina.

@cleeiii357 Look, there might be some bad apples in the talent, but most of them are genuinely nice people who don't really deserve what's happening to them because of the company.
I would really like to know where Nijisanji puts their money because they clearly dont invest it back into the business which as a business owner myself boggles the f**king mind because its a horrible choice you can make and almost ensures your failure. How does niji talent not have a 3D model? completely unreal to me.
Some higher ups are pocketing the money~~~, that's the only real explanation lol. Or they focused too much on JP branch for advertisement, goods etc that they couldn't care about EN or any other branch.
Because it Niji. Niji vtuber are 2D on purpose since that 2D is what make them back then different from Kizuna AI 3D. They promoting that vtuber can success with only a 2D. But it was back then when they are started as an agency, then vtuber scene change and they are failed to adapt then now not having 3D is really limited their grown and opportunity.
@@senoalamsyah7481 Looks at other Agency especially hololive, nah its just mismanagement, not investing much on their talents and not trying to improve their business. if they really wanted to make concert etc they should have invested heavily in 3D, but they didn't, if 2D is all they wanted they should have just stick to 2D invest on talents that are good at singing and make original songs they don't need to dance. I expected low quality trash. But I didn't expected what I saw lol. And the fact that like 25-30 people attended makes it more sad. Meanwhile Hololive in Melbourne is a big success! Even they are surprised because according to them it should've been less than half of what they got.

I honestly feel awful about this. Some of those talents definitely deserve the reality check but some of them are just casualties and it makes me sad that they have to go through this
The concert colors seem off, kinda like my old gpu before it died, where it would have pink, purple or yellow saturation, causing the colors to appear too bright or have an off color look to them. Someone should have looked over on how it looked, like a technician and see if they couldnt fix it.
"Someone should have looked over on how it looked, like a technician and see if they couldnt fix it." Implying that Nijisanji cared enough to pay a technician to be on-site to handle technical issues... that's a pretty bold claim.

Dude last year, HoloID held SEA concert with 4 member (Moona,Risu,Reine,Kobo) and its all 3D on professional stage, New song made by famous indonesian song writer also cheaper ticket too. Compare to NijiEN Rhapsody its like day and night.
When I saw that price comparison, my jaw dropped. That, with the spelling issue shit, and then, the quality of the shows, Jesus Christ Niji, you greedy pricks, GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER!
Oof, not even local advertising and charging way over? They could have gone the complete other way, charge low and bring in people who have no idea what vtubers are (or what Niji has done). That Holo's DreamHack had so many first timers that they felt the need to explain they weren't AI and could actually see the audience. That's base proof it could have worked.
@@theghostoftom Well, Dreamhack was planned that they needed to explain, but with the extra paid ticket and the sheer amount of penlights, it felt very unnecessary. Yup, even I was guilty of doing that. Even after Sayu's whistle blowing and knowing what went on behind the scenes, I kept on watching their talents. Selen's termination changed all that and exposed just how corrupt and greedy this company really is, and how much better Hololive is by comparison.
Here's the thing. I dislike Holo's focus on idol stuff and singing. I am initially attracted to Niji's approach of "normal people streaming as friends" concept. Then these happen. I want legit competition. I want Hololive to feel threatened. But NijiEN fails as the alternative. The alternative needs to combine the virality and cult sensation of Holo with the original vision of NijiEN.

Slight correction. Niji is not a multi-billion dollar company anymore. It is currently just shy of being a one-billion dollar company. (Their actual value is much lower, but apples to apples on market cap they've dropped 65% from 2022 peak, and about 40% from the 2024 high in February) Negligible.
Alright I'll be the one to say it, Nijisanji is a SCAM COMPANY. Like where is Niji's money even going at this point?! Riku needs to be investigated cause something is not adding up here.
It looks like a scam company but it's your typical JP Short term profit company. Riku is just greedy much like how the CEO of Nexas is gonna be that greedy
I'm pretty sure Riku Tazumi is trying to get as much money out of this as possible and actively lets the whole company run on life support. I mean, if you look at their public financial records, that is literally what is happening. Nothing gets reinvested, tens of millions of dollars just reamain unused. if they just let her graduate, things would have ended peacefully. Even if they terminate the contract, things still could have ended pretty well for them with minimal backlash (I want to say negligible but I'm not memeing so I'll use different word) if they had gone about it in more neutral way. Just the standard termination notice "We choose to end contract due to disagreement from both side etc.." without saying bad things about her.
This makes me sad. Coming to an event as a performer, expecting a warm reception just to see that only a hand full of people care would absolutely destroy me. I didn't watch the event, even digitally, but I do respect the talents if they managed to hold themselves together during their performance. But I also feel bad for the fans that were looking forward to the event. Showing up in person, looking forward to feeling some comradery and sense of community and not only being one of the only people in an empty room, but also paying for the privilege to see a very low quality production must make you feel pretty dumb. I really hope the appropriate lessons are being learned, because at this point the only people happy are probably the ones looking for a trashfire.

As a Singaporean and an avid niji fan, I’d like to say: yes I knew about this performance but I didn’t go. There’s quite a few factors actually: 1. They started marketing this event on social media not long after the whole selen/doki controversy so obviously it was when a lot of people decided to take a break from nijisanji (including myself) 2. I don’t think it was marketed outside of social media (other than 1 Instagram page I didn’t see any other info about it) 3. The tickets are expensive. (Do keep in mind that Singapore had just went through like 3 concert fevers from Taylor Swift, Cold Play and Bruno Mars so a lot of people are broke + I’m just a zero income student so I can’t afford) 4. All the other avid cosplayers and otakus were at another anime convention (Doujima and AFAID) during the same weekend. 5. While a large portion of otakus are adults with disposable income, another large portion of otakus are also students who are busy studying (most students have tuition etc. on the weekends so the event being held on a random Saturday and not during the holidays does not help) * otakus in this sense would be niji’s target audience
while there might be some members that are innocent and just feel stuck with nijisanji, there are others that are probably happy to go along with nijisanji, time will tell if they will change after graduation and have a similar story to kyo, mysta and co
I just noticed while watching this video, something that makes the millie misspelling even more embarrassing is they spell it right on the very same slide. The part in big yellow letters has 3 L's but the lower right has her name spelled correctly. Wth
Honestly, it's almost unfair to compare Niji concerts to Holo concerts since the two company really doesn't focus on the same things. But watching Niji get slammed for the shit their EN branch does is really satisfying.
For those outrageous prices they demanded, I would expect a masterpiece. But it's Niji, sooo.... they didn't even try. Not only was Hololive cheaper, but their performance was many leagues above them. Also MILLLE? I know they are taking L's, but that's ridiculous.... 💀

I can't help but think the Niji event would have been fine and well put together for a small but enthusiastic Vtuber company that is still finding it's feet. The problem is that Niji is well established, fairly large, and really should be pushing the benchmark with Hololive instead of struggling to keep up.
Nijisanji blew up too fast, especially with the Luxiem wave. With them, Tazumi found the golden goose and he's now milking it for every golden egg it still has before it dies.
I feel sad for ONE of the livers being a part of this, empty and expensive karaoke stream which the management called "A CONCERT" Meanwhile in Hololive, now that's what you call "A CONCERT"
The fact Nijisanji shows that thier talents can perform in 3D via AR Live gives hope the Virtual Rapsody is a surprise 3D concert but its just a blatant money grab scheme
The comparison between the two events can actually go beyond just the production value, but really the sheer difference in company cultures. The fact that Hololive can send talents from all three branches shows how well it's worked to have the branches consistently collab, interact, and form real friendships with each other. The fact that they set up a full 3D concert shows that they care more about supporting the talents and their creativity wherever they are in the world, whereas Niji is infamous for hoarding their 3D assets and equipment within Japan. And the fact that Holo put in this much effort for a sub-event of a much larger gaming event shows genuine humility and also pragmatic good sense in trying to introduce adjacent fandoms to vtubers. I don't really want to come off as a fanboy, but these are all values that don't just come with every company out there, let alone all together in a single one.
Genuinely feel bad for the livers that have had to push through this last few months that werent involved at all. A bunch of these talents will have been basically forced into doing this and hold the role of face of the event while the bs team in charge of actually setting up and running the event in the background did a god-awful job of it. I do watch Riku's tweet. The fact that he attend someone else's concert but not the livers really shows that Riku doesn't care about the livers, he care about his money and a bunch of yes man (and bootlicker as well) to take care of his yacht.

If it was a free event, then I wouldn't be bothered with something that turned out to be a karaoke stream. If it was modestly priced, I wouldn't be bothered by something that was more low key. But it cost more than a full 3d concert for something you can see from any vtuber on any given day for free. I would feel pretty ripped off. My most generous guess is that announcing it 10 days before means it was a last minute thing and that led to something unimpressive. But if that is accurate, then they needed to price it accordingly.
Y'know what my first thought was when I saw the images and videos of the Virtual Rhapsody concert? That VTuber concert that everyone memed on with the VTuber singing and then showing his eyes for the first time. Tho, the latter gets a pass because it's from something that's of less popularity compared to Nijisanji.
At this point NIJISANJI EN is an absolute joke, and it’s filled with a bunch of hypocrites If it merges with NIJISANJI JP, it’s making me lose brain cells because it never learns from its mistakes If I see NIJISANJI EN going beyond by breaking the law by flipping off and insulting Hololive or even hard doxxing each and every talent in a situation like Yakirisu, Cover may cut ties with AnyColor because of how nonexistent and immature this is.
I’m here! Oh what can we expect from Nijisanji at this point. I didn’t know this was happening, but this is pretty disappointing.
