Hey, nice work and smooth running. I would like to build an AAZ in a Boat as an Inborder. A Turbo would produce a lot of heat and needs intensive cooling. So I thought about to change it against a compressor. How much horsepower has your motor and does it need intercooler? Thx for an answer Greetz

Interesting. I've had the idea of putting a supercharger on an AAZ, looks like it runs pretty well. How much boost are you making?

Superchargers are cool. But for $500 these days buys you a variable turbo vnt15 with billet wheels. You will get better fuel economy from a turbo. What this needs is a big turbo that is fed by the supercharger. But turbos flow so well I would bet the supercharger becomes a bottleneck. Sounds really cool though. But a nice turbo sounds amazing too. I like how smooth running the aaz idi is compared to the Tdi

@@fastinradfordable In my experience the TDIs are always smoother than AAZs. Maybe that's just because I'm used to modified AAZs and stock ALHs.

hi, nice setup... can you send me more pictures of compressor... how it is mounted and how you mount left side in bus???

Compressor is mounted to sturdy U-shaped block. And block is mounted to engine using several engine mount holes found on engine block. Original idea was use this sturdy block also to function as engine mount, but while it was installed in the car i found no suitable solution for that. Instead i made special mounting, which uses on 2 engine/transmisson bolts and one on the engine itself. But after driving a little bit with this setup, i'd say it's not worth of trying. Not enough boost. Maybe larger wheel on crank shaft would help a bit, but it was a bit disappointment when comparing to VNT turbo.

VNT torbo does not interest me ... I know that the compressor is less efficient than the turbo ... I care more engine life ... if I had to choose between regular diesel and supercharged then which one is better? Is the supercharged engine is larger fuel consumption? If you still have any videos or photos of the installation, please post it Thanks for the answer

На мою думку 5w30 зарідке для ааz проміжки допуски між поршнем і циліндром великі щоб 5w30лити краще вже 5w40 або 0w40.
