Never join in the rubber. Always put a piece in. Taping stiffens the cables and concentrates a bend point. And, never trust the Autel translated fault descriptions 😏
Damn. My mk5 golf boot doesn’t open. The rear wiper and heater also don’t work as well as the brake light above the rear glass. And now after months of me just ignoring it as I don’t use the boot and only drive to and from work locally, the fog light and reverse light have also stopped working. So would now fail an MOT.
very good knowledge and analytical thinking skills. off topic: how to get the med 9.1 ecu PIN code? I did the swap from vw b6 3.6fsi to golf mk4, and I have to change the gearbox type in the settings, but I need to know the pin.
I don't remember such details... that kinda of stuff I figure it out as I go along and in the moment... But usually it is a combination of screws and clips... 👍👍👍
yes good video, and what a common fault eh, cables running inside body panels has always been a problem as I'm sure you know. either they get stressed, frayed, overheated soaked in water or attacked by rust and mice, but always a problem. Good thing you could still get in through the seat. and good thing you're not big and fat or you would have needed to fasten that screwdriver onto a stick LoL
Amazing ! Very nice ! I got to find a fault on a radio not getting power and another one where the heater blower not working at all. But I rather stay inside and watch this LOL 🤣
LoL Just finished a blower not working on a Fiat... Like always, check the basics first, and you will be fine....😉 Thank you for watching and for your comment!
Thanks for the troubleshooting steps, helpful you explained your logic behind them. My latch stopped opening this morning, I’ll be using your information to hopefully figure out a fix.
Nice fix. Yes this does seem to be a common fault on these models. Would be good to see if diagnosis instrument still showed faults after the repair. One must be careful Not to put the keys down inside the boot, as it seem that Once it is shut, cannot be opened again without the key. That's a worry..
Help needed. Last night parked my VW golf as normal. This morning, remote won't open doors, but hear click noise. Changed remote battery, still nothing. I manually open car door using key and try to start but no power, no lights on dash and radio, no power completely, total no sign of life. Please help advise needed
Luis I enjoy every of your videos as they're all very informative and good to see that you don't just go the replacing route but try to repair when possible. P.s. Still getting my problems on C4 grand picasso lol gonna look into that ABS plug maybe this weekend
Hello, I discovered your channel and I like your job Hint: try to use screen recording for scan tool steps (see ScannerDanner) Thank you and I'm going to watch all of your videos, specially those with open ECUs ᕙ( • ‿ • )ᕗ
Why is everything on that VW busted why can't people just leave things alone and get someone who knows what there doing to fix it it must be so annoying to work on cars like this one
My 2005 Mondeo mk3 had similar issue. But the results were diffetent: when i've enaged my position lights+along with my plate lights, my boot release mechanism was not working, and the indicator for opened door was lit up. If the lights were off, the boot worked flawlessly. After inspecting the wire loom and the wires themself, and gently tugging the, two wires fell down. Those wires were the ground one for the boot release, and positive for the lights :) Long story short, this video will save anyone a lot of trouble, when they encounter this problem, because God knows, I've spent hours googling for the solution. Thank you for the video LM!
Guess was before I clear them... Can't remember now... probably should have shown... Was focusing on the fact that the boot was again working, which was what this was about... Thank you for watching and for your comment! 👍👍👍
I have the same problem boot won’t open with key, have to move latch inside with finger,so now I hope it’s in the top wires as I have see they crack. Thanks for the video
Yes good trouble shooting ....I have seen this before on the scan tool calling a short to ground ( fault code) but actually finding a open circuit .....I know in this case study both open circuit and short to ground have been found ....Enjoyed the Video ...👍👍
Hello, I discovered your channel because I have the same problem (I think). Could you please tell Us how to remove the left cover/panel inside the trunk? Because there's the airbag and I'm worried about it 😰 - thank you very much
Hi Airbag inside the trunk? You mean, on C pilar? If us that, the Airbag will most likely be bolted into the pilar/chassis, the panel is just a cover... Can't remember now is there is any screws, but most are clips that just need a buy of force to pry out .. 👍👍👍
well done as always, but I noticed that the handle is very slow when it back to it's position,so a spray with a WD40 would of helped it and also spray the lock it self to be smoother
Another great video! Detailed troubleshooting and explanation! The one thing that I believe it should have been done differently is that I would repaired the wiring harness... But maybe the customer wasn't willing to pay for that
This is usless vidéo WE have same problem but we have our wiers connected.... No body have thé same case with U.. Usless vidéo & lost time watching that 🤧
😅😅😅😅 Just because you have a different issue, it does not render the video useless... What about people that will have the same issue as on the video? Very poor argument...🤦♂️
