Even if I am quite late to the party here, I have one tip you might want to follow: To get hoses off such pipe sockets and hard lines get a suitable set of pliers (personally I prefer water pump pliers if they fit, but combination pliers work as well) and twist the hose back and forth on the socket it sits on. That way you break it free and can rather easily pull it off. That method is by far less harmful to hoses which have glued themselves to their couterpart, than trying to pry them off with picks and flat heads.
