If you use think nylon cable ties, just push the pointy end down between the trim and the switch on either side of the round mirror adjuster - this just pushes the plastic clips back inside, and as if by magic, the whole switch unit just pops out! takes 20 seconds, no damage and saves a 70 bill!
Really good video?most of these windows switch replacement videos, every body takes off the whole door card, when you have shown that you don’t have to 👍
@@whatsdavedone104 my daughter has the same as you just front electric windows, her drivers side doesn’t work at all,is it more than likely going to be the switch or is it possible to be the motor or regulator?
I would say its the switch, really bad design water drips straight on it and over time corrodes the circuit board...you can test the switch by replacing it with the one from passenger side, yes passenger is a single switch but it will still operate the window on drivers side when plugged in
Excellent video mate as had to fix the wife's after borrowing the car on a horrible wet day and didn't want her to know ide messed it up. Fixing electric windows with only a knife and fork and her hair dryer when she was out was a right result for me and I didn't have to pay the boy's from vw. Lol
Great video, any chance you could help me out? My rear passenger window switch doesn't work, but window can be controlled from driver switch. Could it the same component as you've shown here. Cheers pal.
