Led istalled and coded, but now the lights flashing and the left one goes off. Bought the aglint T10 W5W. Do i need to buy T15 W16W or a complete new unit? Please let me know.
I replaced mine and now the panel says check license plate lights. How do I fix that? The leds work fine but the computer probably does not detect the new leds
You need to do one of the following: 1. Recode the car so it expects LEDs over there 2. Replace LEDs with ones with a load resistor that will drain additional power and trick the car into thinking that there are regular bulbs installed.
@@mrfixpl What is the advantage of coding if there is no canbus warning? I am not able to do coding but I do want to install led's. Which are in your opinion the best ones? I saw a set of Aglint on amazon but also found some cheaper ones on aliexpress. Also, will there be a possibility of short circuit due to the canbus bulb in the normal housing?
@@nickdegroot2445 Two reasons: 1. Controlled checks for blown bulbs different than for damaged LEDs. With bulbs it sends short voltage pulses to check if the circuit is complete. This pulses are too short to warm up your bulb but LED with pick it up and you will have strobe effect. 2. So called "CAN-BUS ready" LEDs are just regular LEDs with an additional parallel resistor. This resistors only job is to draw additional current to trick the controller that there's a regular bulb connected. So it draws additional power, it generates heat, and if the LEDs is actually damaged you will not get an error on the instrument cluster, because the resistor still draws current like a regular bulb would do.
@@mrfixpl okay thanks really clear explanation. I am thinking of installing philips whitevision halogen or canbus led. To me the most important part is that I will not damage my car in any single way in case something happens. The bulb fault warning is not a problem for me as I will find out soon enough when the bulb doesnt work and just replace it. I also have a lupo and there I installed a led bulb C5W and it overheated the case for some reason. It smelled terrible and the bulb looked undamaged but the case was brown from overheating or short circuit.
@@mrfixpl Hello - I installed the AGLINT LED’s and am attempting coding with OBDEleven per these instructions. I used “40 - Allgemeine LED”. But still have an error. Is there another option to choose? Thank you
I have those new T15s from Aglint still in the box and did't have the chance to try them out yet. Although they should be CAN-BUS ready as they equipped with resistor.
Because control unit is expecting traditional bulb. It check the circuit, not finding one, showing error code. Recode the BCM unit or find LEDs with additional load resistor to trick the unit into thinking that there's a bulb there.
