Harry, the bars should face the other way, the sharp wedge should be towards the back of the car. They are more aero that way. Good to see you in 2022.
I also think you can get aT track adapter for you bike carrier which will make it fit in your new bars by slitting in the top of the bars rather than clamping around them.
Bars are the wrong way round, think of a aeroplane wing thick to thin! Also the THULE UPRIDE rack is the best for the EBIKE!! Mine fell of the one you have! 🤙🏼🤙🏼
You need a T track adapter for your bike racks mate that slides in to the rubber slit on top on the new bars, your bars are the wrong way round! The chunkier side faces the front of the car, keep up the awesome content! Loving the mk7 🔥👍🏻
With the bars, the rounder side should face forward with the thinner side pointing towards the back of the car. Then with the bike rack, once you take the brackets off will leave you with the bolts with square feet (2 at the front and 1 at the back). They then just slide into the groove in the middle of the bars and tighten up on top like normal
Should be the other way around like an aeroplane wing matey, hence the word aero, but keep up the great content as love watching the different stuff you do :)
T track adapters for the bike carrier. Yours are the clamps for square bars, should be in the kit when you got the carrier, that carrier will work 100%

You just need to buy the T bar pieces, you get them in the box with the bike rack if you still have it, If not you can buy the T bar pieces off Amazon as spares and it will. The T pieces will fit in the T track. However it probably best you buy a Thule upride rack, not only will it not touch the carbon frame, You will avoid the issue of trying to fit the pro rack clamp around the down tube.
Hi Harry. You can get T-nut adaptors to allow that bike rack to fit your new bars. Check out thules 561 & 564 bike racks. It mounts via your front fork and is super solid on the roof. Halfords do a black one too that would look so good on your stealth golf R 😎
i love your bikes, love your riding, style, videos, garden, ect, ect. but this car... is just unacceptably ugly... even a 18 year old would look ridiculous in this car 🤣..
