@themio2580 , U have to replace the turbo boost control valve. I`ve had the the same problem and now i just barely can feel a little bit of power loss at 3500 rpm. It cost me 260 euro though...But i average 6,3liters/100km and thats great!
@themio2580 Can you explain multipliers? Never used that term before. Gaps at which engine speed range? Which wheel speed? Did the engine speed keep increasing and wheel speed increase slow down? Could you hear any unusual noise? What condition are your tyres in? Have both surcharges been checked for cracks? Did this occur when the car was at full working temperature? Could you please provide more information and I'll be glad to help
@eurotrucker71 thanks fore the reply, i had the problems months ago.. we visited the dealership and had a not cheap "service"... 2000euros for severals problems, including the gearbox. now the car feels ok, but still at low rpms i feel some weakness. maybe its the bad throttle response tha gives me that impression, but its annoying. electric accelerator peddals suck!
@themio2580 p.s. I could guess form this info, sound more like fuel injection issue, making the mixture too rich in either air or fuel. Changing the amount of air in the surcharges, leading to turbo-lag, or a multitude of problems based on that. If you mean current multiplier, your injectors were not getting enough power to run/pump. Simple as that. :-) hope that helps.
i know but this isn't the key to a fast 0-100km/h because of the turbo as the revs get higher the performance dicreases...nevertheless, it is an amazing car....
@themio2580 Sound like a delay in the boost. Its expected a tiny bit if you are surging the engine. Multiple reasons for this; may even be by design (to maintain traction ). Get diagnostics test done to fully test the car. There are sensors that they will tell you if anything is working below expected standard. If you have no result from the machine, maybe try driving one of your garages test cars, since it might be the normal way the car behaves. Good luck and hope you get it sorted!
@themio2580 Each car is unique, some may be faster than others, depends on air external air pressure, fuel quality and air temperature as well. A combination of bad factors can easily take a second off 0-60 times. I would say mine is just over 7s
@konansk i see....nevertheless, mine tsi does something strange. sometimes somewhere around 3000 rpm with full trottle has some gaps of acceleration and it doesn't accelerate as fast as normally does... which is annoying and can be dangerous at an overtake. before 2 months i changed the multipliers and the problem solved for a while. do you have any explanation?? anyone?
I think id have to agree, with whats already been said. Its knocking on the door of gti 2.0tfsi 0-60 time. Unless its a mapped 170gt but i cant Hear the supercharger whine. So i suspect its a gti. And since the dash all look the same who can be sure..
standfest auf 240000km entwickelt genau wie die alten vw motoren die meis ohne große auffälligkeiten 400000km schaffen :D einzig die turbos und steuerketten waren fail. das hat vw aber bereits bei den neueren aus dem weg geschaffen
Yes it is. I have a 1.4 TSI BMY Sportline original, and it pulls very strongly. It is supposed to have 140hp, but I think it has more, and it's original. I dont know what VW did
