You can absolutely SWITCH OFF the automatic braking. This functions called Speed limit Preview, Road layout preview. Press Assist ->menu(three horizontal lines) -> ACC -> and then you can switch on and off this stuff.

Funny. I was driving some of the same roads last year on my holiday in weerberg. Also with an ID3. Mountain trips are awesome. En just use 30% instead of 100 for a whole trip cause of downhill regeneration.

Hi, great video, thank you. This is the best consumption test I've seen and the best figures I've seen for the iD.3. I will have an iD.3 Life Pro Performance 58Kwh delivered in June (4 months time) and as my first EV I am a little anxious about things like Range and Charging, with the UK's lagging charging infrastructure, (I can't currently have a home charger fitted - I'm working on moving to a new home where I can have one fitted - fingers crossed!) Can I ask which mode (Eco, Comfort Etc.) you set the car to for this trip and also whether you used "B" or "D" drive setting? I drive roughly 90 miles (145 Km) a day as a courier with 10 to 20 short (1 to 3 mile) trips in and around the City whilst delivering and a 13 mile motorway trip each way to and from the City where I work (hopefully I'll be moving closer to the City soon) - mostly flat with the occasional small hill. If I drive intelligently, reading traffic to reduce dramatic speed changes (avoiding complete stops where possible) and only gentle braking/acceleration, would you say 15 KWH/100 Km would be realistic for me? Thanks.
