That's a great idea. To this day I was wondering what I can use this little storage compartment for. Now I know. I will make a little lid with cord hinges and will put a clock inside - but probably something smaller 🙂

I used to have this space in the van,but my roof lining needed doing so I just took it out(would be nice to have something there,but never really thought about what I’d like)when you put you used shock cord to hold the clock shut,you could also use push studs like you get on the curtains just to give it that clean look,but it works and it’s all aesthetics in the end in it.Nice mod👍😉

I built a rear-view monitor in that hole and there are also papers that I should have available more often, I do plan to put a secret electronic lock on it.

Looks ace buddy, I tell you what would make that even better, magnets to hold it closed (neodymium ones) rather than the string! I think I'll be putting that in my van too! I'll give you a shout out because its your idea! Have a great day

Thanks Colin for the feedback, really appreciate it 👍 yes I’d considered magnets, it was just securing them to the trim 🤔 and the bungee chord was free 😆

I've realised a bose minilink speaker fits the gap spot on need a extra bit of ribbon yo use as 2 pulls but fits in snug as a bug .
