I’ve been waiting for the moment to use that old drill I’ve had it planned, I love old tools like that but don’t know if I could use them everyday. Shout-out is my pleasure thank you for supporting me 🙏👍

had a few wee chuckles through this one,your a naturally funny guy who doesn't even realise it.the near face plant into the side of the merc and the little wave recovery from it 😂🙈 interesting to see the install.i paid a guy to fit mines.wasnt confident enough to do it.tip,for the heater,you can set the temp rather than the number of bars.if you press and hold the top left button on display,it will either come up with the bar setting or the temp setting then u just use arrows on right to adjust.
@YTDTETV
@YTDTETV 3 месяца назад
Hey 👍 thank you I really appreciate that, i include most things I do on the channel hence nearly head butting the merc 😂 I try to add some humour whenever possible so thank you for the feedback. I’ll take a look at the temps instead of the bars 👍 thank you for your comment 😊

Ayup Nathan, yep heater still working perfectly, been a godsend over the winter while I've been working on the Bayliner! Also noticed you insulated the pump, makes a big difference to the clicking you get from it. Keep up the good work matey!
@YTDTETV
@YTDTETV 3 месяца назад
Hey Sean glad to hear it’s still working, that was my very first heater and yes remember wrapping in a white cloth that probably abit yellow now, I made a little metal frame to hold it up in the air then run the exhaust out the way out the back. I did put an intake pipe up to one of the holes near the funny little brown cupboard that goes no where. Some jobs you’ll probably notice where done on the fly and late at night making things happen, I did plan to finish all the little jobs. Hope your well 👍

Nothing wrong with the cheap diesel heaters, had mine three years and it’s fine. Have made a mod for mine so that I can send it a text to turn it on and off, great when you’re out some where and turn heater on before we get back so it’s nice n warm. Incidentally if you use heater on low regularly make sure you stick it on full for half hour every now and then to burn all the crap out of it. Nice neat install 👍

useful video, ive just bought one of these heaters, 2 days ago, for my crafter xlwb camper.i wont be plumbing it into the tank, as its not gonna get used that much, but if i was id be changing out the silicone hoses for tygon ones. they last forever and dont go solid like most rubber hoses over time. look forward to seeing the interior finishing on the transporter

Neat job Nath, I’ve got a heater from my t4, need to install it in the t6, but was going to fit it underneath, mine was a bit noisy on the pump, I will try your silicone hose trick as connected straight onto copper and it was like a brass band under there 😂
@YTDTETV
@YTDTETV 3 месяца назад
Hey griffo 👍, I did see videos of them being installed underneath and I see no reason for it being a bad idea, I fitted one to a T4 a couple years back so just copied what I’ve done putting it under the seat. Brass band 😂 they can be very noisy and I can’t stand it. The 3mm silicone hose takes a lot of the noise out I’ll prob put some of the sound deadening on the inside off the footwell to which should take the last bit of noise out 👍👍

Did mine the other way round battery under drivers seat the only bit of advice I can add is make sure nothing is touching the exhaust as it will melt plastic as I found out ((blue return pipe to tank) £45 and drop tank great thanks for all the tips

Hi mate, clever way of fitting that diesel heater. 👍🏻 Idea for your fuel pump try putting some springs between your nuts on that threaded bar it’ll be secure but allow for movement. (Like air suspension compressors)
@YTDTETV

Hey bud thank you appreciate that and that’s a good idea with the springs I shal definitely give it a try 👍

Nice one Sir, I have a relay controlled by a switch on mine that is fed by ignition live, and the batteries connected by fused both ends welding earth cable as like you say the fancy split charge relays cause a drain. Quick note if you have stop start and a smart alternator T5.1 bluemotion onwards you are going to have a bad time, connecting this way or with a split charge. Dc to Dc charger required, they are getting cheaper now or just use a lithium solar generator power bank with built in inverter charging from solar and 12v outlet while driving. Ed
@YTDTETV
@YTDTETV 3 месяца назад
Hey Edd thank you bud 👍 that’s a good shout about the ignition relay for the rear battery. I’ve looked at a few dc to dc chargers and they do look good. I’ll invest in one in the future for sure. Appreciate the comment 👍

Hi Marc, I only used what was in the box but I have seen there’s alot of accessories for them so I’ll take a look, I use another cheap heater in my Mobile home and weather dependent obviously but I fill the 15l tank up and it lasts well over 2 weeks, they really don’t use much fuel at all. Thanks mate 👍

Hi mate is your van a swb? Do you have rear seats? What nash bed is it? Ive got a maxi and use a nash emperor that takes up the whole of the rear so been thinking of changeing to a T5 for more roam.
@YTDTETV
@YTDTETV 3 месяца назад
Hi bud mine is a lwb, if I didn’t have the rear seats the bed would fit no problem it would fit in a SWB with out seats to. Not sure what the bed is actually but it’s got a built in little pillow which is nice. I’m not the biggest fan of carp, camp beds. I’ve seen on eBay they do Z beds in single or double I’m going to try one out, they are just a fold up foam type thing they look like a little sofa when folded up..
