I’ve a polar outside screen cover. Very very similar lol. Guess there is only one way to make these. Good idea with the gold down screen part. And the strap to tidy away is a simple but good idea.

We have always used external screens much like those with our conversions on crafters , boxers etc. Personally i prefer an internal blind system as its a bit more discreet for wild camping and you dont have to scramble around a much taller vehicle. Plus the big van external screen dont fold doen very small at all. However, the external insulated screen is always better for insulation and preventing condensation 😉.

I have a fuel lagoon external wrap for my crafter... around £40... great bit of kit

Just to let you know, here in France there’s a company called Soplair who make insulated screens for all vans including Sprinters before and after 2006. They are very good quality and have been doing these for years.

My van was so hot the other day my thermos mug exploded in my hand as I got into it the other day. I’m still searching for the lid

Looks like a good bit of kit, one question, does the the part that goes over the doors to help secure the cover cause any problems with the rubber seals on the doors with constant/long use?
