I had the same issue, diverter valve sticks, freed it several times, ultimately costly turbo replacement because the assembly is not servicable, per several independent repair centers and VW.

My VW tiguan has the check engine light on and the scanner indicate the code p0192 that indicates the fuel rail pressure sensor had low voltage input for a predetermined period of time...do you have any advice for that problems...

+carlos quintana Hi Carlos, the P0192 is caused by Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor on your VW Tiguan may go bad and need to be replaced. Read more at: www.obd-codes.com/p0192

Hi there. Thank you for your video. I just got this code today. My 2016 tiguan is still under warranty. I have an appointment with the dealer in 8 days. Will it be okay to do some light driving in between then or should I not drive the car? Thanks!

Hi Doug, you can drive it but the car may go into a limp mode.

It is dangerous if the dealership is far. If you have AAA, just let them tow it.

How would I Know if it’s the valve or if I need to replace the turbo completely? I received the same code, but we ended up turning it off and it has not appeared since July. Any info would be very helpful. The shop would be charging me around $2000. :/

The only way to find that out is to change the valve if the code keeps coming, it is the turbo. The car will eventually go into a limp mode. If you do the valve yourself is only $89 to $149.

No, unless your oil is really dry. Oil light indicator is like a countdown timer from 1 to 10000 miles

Autel will tell you the different solutions. That is how I knew it, I changed it and the code went away. You can google it too.

My pleasure. Another possibility is the turbo maybe on the way out, but I would rather spend $80 first to see if it will clear the code before spending $1500 to buy a new turbo.

Actually check your waste gate,, if the seal isn't broken it may be the turbo itself...

How did you fix the issue? I believe mines is due to the gas cap as well
