That's how PL always plays (it got him to grand finals in winners bracket), Gross just did a good job punishing everything he did, the playing style looks different when people actually punish all of the unsafe shenanigans he got away with at CoCo and Evo 12, I give Gross all the props for shutting him down for once.
When he uses Kung Lao, Raiden or JC, he still loses alot. He lost to CD Jr. using cage vs his Jax. Generally considered 7-3 cage. Tom is a very, very smart player but he just loses alot, idk why
i play both of the character kung low and sektor ,, perfect legend goofed so hard gross read him like a book .. if i were him i would go for the throws and mix it up with the pressure to but sektor in a very hard position .. gross played it very will his plan was so good ,, he blocked a lot and wait to the best moment to strike ,, and i believe sektor is a good character and balanced because of his short hand and the risk you make to do a 45 to 60 percent damage ,, but cyrax is not .. he had his boom setup witch is unblockable and you can do over 100 percent damage by using only to pars . anyway if its in the game you cant complain GG
You say that years almost 3 years later. It took most of you since 2011 to get as good as these guys who pioneered this game. No one wants to here what you wouldve did. If your so good play professionally.
@Ra Gray lol i play in professional way in my local area ... i didn't say he is bad hes really good but he was going forward and tryin to beat sektor without being careful.. he has done a lot of unsafe movie ... and sektor it known as his hard punishes
Mohammed Ahmed playing locally and playing tournaments across the country are two different things. If you ever played at a very high level you know nerves and things can force you to drop combos or do things you normally wouldn't do. In PLs case he just got too over confident and took too many risks. That's why he lost. I just hate when guys comment on what they "wouldn've "did. This fight is two years old. And I'm pretty sure your kung Lao wasn't this good two years ago.
Ra Gray i stop playing this game long time ago. Why he is nerves? I know he played in a lot of tournament so he sould not be nervous . My main character wasn't kung lao but i play a solid one . The sektor player play ut smart but perfect legend didn't. ...
I'll have to agree with you on that one man, he really had to worry about all the missiles before he was able to make a move. I believe if he were a Kenshi, Cyrax, or MAYBE an Ermac player it would have had different results. Props to him though for being able to do what he did against that Sektor.
his mid screen is shit but his resets are wonderful.... put people in the corner with noob and you can get 48% resets if he was alittle faster and better combos i could see him ontop of b tier... and how is sindel there she has no combos
the guy that said that carl was just going to pressure him and other things about carl`s gameplan yes that is why the great kung lao has lost because that fucker that was comentary fucked up his game
I don't really think you should believe in tier lists, they change literally every tournament. Many players have proven some of the lower tiers are actually a lot higher than people made them out to be, take Fei Long from Street Fighter for example.
glad to see some one using sektor at that level and showing that all characters are good, you just need to learn them ,by the way perfect legend was the one who claimed to be the best MK9 player in an interview after evo 2012...... but for me that's far from reality
kung lao was not a good match up for sektor...he did a great job but sektor is faster and has close medium and long rang....kung lao is really just short...with a few long range moves lmao...but still...good ass job to both players..impressive
The game was hyped as MK9 originally, and people count all the MK games as cannon to the story or whatever. Plus it's fucking retarded when they name stuff without a number or whatever. It's like how First Blood is referred to as Rambo, and then pt2 is called Rambo: First Blood 2, and then Rambo 3, 20 years later they made another movie and just called it Rambo. They did the same shit with the Rocky series and a number of other franchises.
Normal Guy No. Player one advantage means that if two players trade moves at the same time, Player 1's move will take priority over Player 2's. In MKX both players can trade moves.
He uses Kung Lao and Raiden as well but still ends up losing alot. He is an extremely smart player but even when he uses mid to high tier characters, he loses alot
