don't blame reo or maxter, this is high level tournaments, players will use or do anything to win or they will be not good enough, this is not casual home net play so blame ed boon for making kabal and cyrax broken he is only guy who was enable to fix this madness.
Reo's Kabal was so disgustingly good back in the day. I always hated to play against Kabal, but gotta give props to ppl who played him at a really high lvl. God I miss those MK 9 days...
If you played one of the Top 5 characters the game could be great fun in bracket with a few other characters serving as decent dark horses in the right hands. Outside of that though it was suffering. I'd love to see a remaster with some minor balance changes, focusing on buffs for the mid/low tiers.
@@SomniaCE If you are on PC there is a mod called Tournament Edition where balance changes are made and the netcode is improved. REO himself helped make the balance changes too.
People say "Kabal is the best" because no one knows how to counter him. The best counter for him is Cyber Sub Zero, but of course, no one would know that because everyone copies what they see and if they see a character winning they'll wanna do it too
thats only true if ur opponent can actually use Kabal, u cant deny that even though Kabal is very good, he is also very difficult to use, he is by far the most technologically demanding character in the game, but ur right, in the hands of real Kabal player he is arguably impossible to beat
Human Cyrax had slower recovery on his nets and bombs I believe. But he also had a completely safe teleport and the Net throwing animation lowers his hitbox so he can duck instant air fireballs.
I don't mean to disappoint anybody, but Sektor is now considered to be the best character since someone from Jamaica used Sektor to beat PerfectLegend, who was previously the best mk9 player.

why wrong, kabal shoot fireball and sektor use the teleport punch, but the top 2 now in the game is kenshi is really good. search KENSHI IS TOP 2 . newyorkjosseph channel

The best character is determined by raw stats and how the character does against other characters and what the character is capable of. Just because the best player uses a certain character doesn't mean that the character is the best. Also, Perfect Legend only cares about the EVO tournament, the biggest fighting game tournament in the world so he didn't try as hard at his tournament with Gross
Actually yes, he's been known to use Ermac & Kung Lao on rare occasions... In fact a lot of the 2011 fights he used Ermac when the game was still relatively new.
clay cooper You clearly have no idea how difficult it is to execute that ndc that perfectly, do you? To keep that pressure going and not bounce off a block with one fucked up ndc is ridiculously difficult and the patience to master that shit is incredible. I'd love to see you try. Not lame at all, what's he supposed to do? Honestly, he should just not play the game at all by your logic. Murphy's law of competitive fighting games "If it can happen it will happen."
